"Chibs seems happy today." Jax whispered to me & I rolled my eyes.
"He still hasn't spoken to me. This is exactly why I didn't want to tell him."
"Give him time to process it."
"I didn't have time to process it."
"Come on Jade, you're a young woman having a baby, that's normal. He's 40 about to have another kid, that's not as easy on him."
"I'm gonna head home today." I sighed, packing my clothes.
"Why?"
"Because Jax, I've gotta get my room packed up for college. I've gotta get settled into my new apartment & I need to get ready for classes. And quite frankly, I don't feel like me being here is making the mood good at all."
"We can get your things organised next week."
"I start classes next week Jax, I need to get my ass into gear for this year."
"So you're just gonna go home, lift a heap of boxes & hurt yourself in the process? Clever."
"Come on, you know I'm not that stupid."
He sighed and I smiled up at him.
"I'm gonna be okay Jax."
He looked down at me & hugged me to his side.
"I know you're gonna be okay Jade, you're a Teller. But that doesn't mean I don't worry about you."
"I'm okay, I promise." I smiled and he nodded, kissing my forehead.
"I'm gonna get on the road so it's still daylight when I get home. Come visit me in the new apartment when you guys get back? Tara & the boys will love it."
"Of course we will. We'll be home in a few days."
I nodded and hugged him goodbye.
I seen Tara, mom & the boys in the kitchen & hugged them all too.
"I've gotta get home to pack up. I love you guys." I laughed, hugging them all.
"Oh we love you sweetheart. I'll come see you once we're finished up here."
I nodded and kissed the boys all goodbye, then seen Chibs.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, kissing his cheek & then letting off.
His eyes were on my stomach & I stood back.
I walked down to my car & sighed.
"To our new chapter baby." I smiled, rubbing my stomach & waving up to everyone.
I got in my car & reversed away from the cabin.
As I looked in the rear view mirror at all of my family, I seen him.
The man I loved.
I hated that I caused him this pain.
I hated that he couldn't speak to me.
I hated myself for letting him get away.
I looked back at the road & took a breath.
"New things are coming Jade. You have your new apartment & your studies. Baby will be here in no time & you've got a life to build for her." I smiled as I spoke to myself & took it all in.

I had been driving for a few hours & finally got to my new apartment.
I unlocked the door & walked inside, smiling at my new home.
Boney & Rat brought most of my stuff over already, Jax must've told them to so I wouldn't lift things.
I sat on the couch & smiled.
"Here's to a happy new life for you Jade."
