We got to the meet with Marks & I looked around us.
Why were all his crew here?
"Clay." I mumbled, clutching my gun.
"I know Jade." He whispered back & Marks came to us.
"How are you both?"
"Let's get this done."
He smiled and I glared at him.
I don't trust this guy.
He smiles too much.He walked towards his guys & I looked back at the guys.
Bobby gave me a look & I turned back to face Marks.
They were unloading our van & I kept a close eye on them.
Then I seen it.
One had a grenade on his pants."Clay." I said & he looked at me.
I nodded to the guys belt & he seen it.
"Get on your bike, now."
I walked back to the bike but not before the guy dropped his box & threw the grenade our way.
Clay pushed me in-front of him to run & the grenade went off.
Throwing Clay & I both in the air.
We both landed with a thud on the dirt & I seen blood.
I looked at Clay & he sighed.
"Shit."
He got me up & on my bike.
"Ride back to the clubhouse, go."
We got on our bikes & my face was in so much pain.
Once we got back, I pulled my helmet off & mom ran out with Tara.
"Oh Jade." Mom shrieked, leading me into the club.
Tara wiped the blood from my face & I winced in pain.
"It's going to bruise up Jade."
"Fuck." I groaned, as she pressed ice to my eye & nose.
Clay walked in with some blood on his face & mom cleaned him up too.
His cheek was bruised, with a cut lip.
"They had a grenade."
"I never trusted him."
"Of course we don't trust him Jade, he's a criminal doing illegal business like us."
I sighed & she wiped my face over.
"Okay, you're all cleaned up but that's definitely starting to form a nice big bruise."
I groaned & stood up, wincing in pain.
"Just what I need." I mumbled, leaving the chapel.
