Everyone fell silent as I mentioned the mayor's daughter. They fixated their eyes at me like I said the he-who-must-not-be named girl version. I sometimes not trust my thinking when it comes to judgements but my mind keeps telling me something, something which making my blood boiled more.

Muling tumikhim ang President. The two faculty member averted their gaze. Miss Tenorio's eyes widen in shock. Nanatili namang seryoso sina Lolo same as the Acostas. The Olvedas, especially the woman, gave me a mischievous smirk.

"Are you sure, Miss Amante?" asked the President with serious eyes.

"I told you po. I am maarte but I am not sinungaling. Hindi ko idadawit ang pangalan nila kung hindi ko sila nakita roon," I said.

I don't trust this meeting. I don't want to judge the in charge but my mind is now creating the words that lead to judgment.

"Who checked the cctv footage? If I were seen in there, imposibleng hindi niyo nakita ang dalawang binaggit ko."

Katahimikan muli ang namayani sa loob ng opisina ni President. Bumuntong hininga ako dahil unti-unti na namang nabubuhay ang galit sa aking dugo at umaakyat ito sa aking mukha.

Kung tama ang hinala ko, sinadyang hindi banggitin ang dalawang babae sa pagpupulong na ito. Kung tama ang hinila ko, sadyang iwinaksi nila nag ideyang maaaring sangkot ang dalawang babae.

Why would do they that? Of course, she's the Mayor's daughter. No one in here will dare to mention their name or even utter the first letter of it. They were scared to the point they are ignoring the idea that this is a violation, that this is a crime. They have the power in this whole town and whoever gets in the way will be bothered. Pagak akong natawa.

Para sa isang maliit na bayan, hindi ko akalaing hanggang dito, aabot ang ganoong patakaran sa lipunan.

I am okay with the idea that they have the power so they got the desired respect from everyone but being abusive because you have it, that's too much.

We are talking about sexual harassment. Maybe, I don't know much about laws but I know the term. At hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit hindi nila isinama na baka nga sangkot ang dalawang binanggit ko.

And this is a serious case. They shouldn't be tolerating something as serious as this.

"I don't understand what you all are thinking to set aside the possible involvement of the Mayor's daughter and her friend. Takot kayo? Ni hindi nga sila natakot gumawa ng masama. Ngayong dapat itama ang mali at kayo ang may kakayahan nito, matatakot kayo?"

Hindi na muling umimik si President at nanatili lamang ang tingin sa akin na para bang sinusuri ako. Nanataling naka-iwas ang tingin noong dalawang faculty member. Si Miss Tenerio naman ay namamanghang tumitig sa akin.
