The ball

Hayley's POV

It's the morning of the ball, and I am actually quite excited about it. I haven't been to a Mikaelson ball yet, and with Hope being there makes it so much better. My parents went to the Bayou yesterday and rang me to say they are staying there for a bit. Klaus invited them to the ball, but they politely declined. Coming back from the dead two days ago and then going straight to a ball with people you have never met will be hard. When I went to the wedding after two days of being back was different though. I knew nearly everyone there, unlike my parents, and they have been dead for nearly thirty-three years, whereas I was dead for nearly three. I adjusted back into society a lot easier than them, and I don't blame them for declining anyway. It will just be too overwhelming for them to deal with right now.

Still not opening my eyes, I roll over, thinking through random things. Seeing Hope dance with Rafael yesterday surprised me a little. They looked so at ease with each other. I had seen them interact with each other while being with their friends, and something was different when they spoke to each other. It was how they spoke and how they looked at the other when doing it. It wasn't the same with her and Landon. Maybe it is the fact that they are both wolves, him being alpha at school, and she is certainly alpha material. But I don't know. She seems happy with Landon so I'm happy. And he is a great person. Thinking I hear the door, but then no movement, I push my head further into the pillow. I'm in my room right now. Me and Klaus haven't done anything since the drunken night and then when we kissed the morning after we admitted neither of us were drunk. I feel a pull towards him, I always have. But it is stronger now. Stronger than it ever has been before. I shiver as I feel something cold hit my neck. I start to panic. Are they back to try and kill me? Hope, little Nik, the kids. They could be in danger. The feeling of someone's lips on my shoulder stops me panicking slightly.

"You don't know how long I've waited this morning till I knew it was clear to come here and do this, Little Wolf." Klaus's voice whispers as his lips brush my ear, making me shiver again. Panic gets washed away with the feeling of something else replacing it. "I'm very close to the back of your earlobe right now aren't I? Should we see how quiet you can be?" Knowing he wasn't bluffing, I pull the pillow to my face, covering my mouth. He chuckles slightly. "You don't have that much control over yourself do you?" He moves down and kisses behind my earlobe as I press my mouth further to the pillow. Moving down my neck and to my shoulder, I roll over and face him.

"Not when I'm with you I don't." He smirks at me before pulling me to him and kissing me on my lips this time. I pull away quickly. "Should we test how much control you have then?"

"No, let's not." He kisses me again, trying to get me to forget what I was doing, but it didn't work. Not this time. Tugging his hair lightly, as he so likes, he groans, trying to muffle it with my lips on his. I chuckle lightly as he pulls away. "Not fair, Little Wolf."

"You started it." I reach down and tug at the bottom of his top. "I don't like that."

"You don't like the top? I thought you liked it?" He furrows his eyebrows at me.

"I do like it. I just don't like that it is on you right now. It's better laying on the floor. Don't you think?" He raises one eyebrow at me now.

"Well, someone is in a certain mood today." He gives me that smirk again, and I roll my eyes. Turning so I am laying on my back, I see him from the corner of my eye sitting up and taking his shirt off. Laying back down next to me, he kisses my cheek. "Better?"

Rolling over, so I am laid on him now, looking at him in the eyes. "So much better. It means I can do this now."

"Do wha- Hayley!" He whisper-shouts as I start kissing him, getting lower and lower. "I don't know what has gotten into you today but-"
