To the afterlife and back

The last night

Hayley's POV 

We have one more full day on holiday, and since we have done everything we wanted to do, we are going to spend it on the beach again. Maybe we might play chicken again. I roll over and place my head on Klaus's chest. But, his chest isn't there. I open my eyes and raise my head. 

"I'm over here, Little Wolf." I turn my head and see Klaus stood by the dresser. He had some swimming trunks on again, red ones this time. I smile at him. 

"Hey." He smiles back at me and walks to the bed, putting his knees on it so he is kneeling on the edge. I sit up properly and scooch over to him. He puts his hands on each side of my face, leaning down and kissing me. One of my hands goes to his hip, while the other goes around his back. He starts to pull away, but I then get on my knees, so we are nearly the same height, and kiss him again. Kissing me back, he wraps his arms around my waist. We continue for about two minutes, perks of being Hybrids, we are dead so we don't actually need to breathe. Finally, I let him pull away. 

"Well, that was nice." He says quietly. 

"I'm just enjoying the fact I can do it." I say back, giving him a quick peck on the lips before moving around him and getting off the bed.  

"Do you want to watch the videos Freya took?" He asks me and I nod my head, walking back to the bed. I lay down on my back, and he follows, grabbing his phone and playing the first one.    

We watch ourselves playing on the beach. Straight away, I am laughing at how both Marcel and Rafael grab Rebekah and Hope. Klaus then starts laughing as I celebrate winning. Both of us are in stitches when it shows us getting thrown in. Freya had zoomed in when Klaus had run after me, with us diving into the water, him trying to get me and me trying to get away. We watch as we see ourselves go underwater for about ten seconds, before coming up for air. I reach for the phone and pause it. 

"I told you later on, we were too close." I say to him, and he faces me, smirking slightly. 

"Oh, and it is all my fault right." 

"Yes. You lunched at me, pulling me underwater. And then you had to attack me." I say and he pretends to be offended.

"I'm sorry, but you can't say I attacked you when you let me. You 'attacked' me back." He says attacked with quotation marks in the air. 

"You did attack me underwater. With your lips." I say, but I can't keep a straight face. The memory of him pushing me underwater, then him kissing me was a great moment. No one could see us underwater, and it was like we were together in front of everyone. It was amazing. 

He presses play and we carry on watching. I smile as I see Hope and Rafael interact with each other, she looks really happy. We laugh again as we watch them play chicken with Marcel and Rebekah, then laugh as we do. Klaus laughs even harder when I nearly fall off. I see as he moves his hand higher up on the video, and realise how high he actually put it. 

"Don't worry, no one would have noticed." Klaus says after I point it out. We continue watching and after the video ends, he looks at me. "Ok, Freya did notice. And with her reaction, everyone else probably did too."  

I sit up and sigh. "We will just have to pretend that didn't happen, or you didn't realise your hands were that high up." As we had continued watching, we saw Klaus put his other hand higher up on my thigh. Very high up. Obviously, to me it didn't matter, I was used to his hand being there. He didn't always put them that high up, but he did this time. 

"It might not be that bad. We were playing chicken." He tries to justify his actions, seeing my face as I was thinking about what we had just watched.
