Author's note

Sorry for all the time skips, but things need to get to a certain point so I can end this book.  Don't worry, I have a plan for a sequel. If you want one that is. I just think this one is going on for too long. Anyway, in this chapter, there has been a time jump so they are on holiday now.

Also, I have a week off, so I should be updating more often.

Hayley's POV

A month has gone past, and I am currently sat in my seat on the aeroplane. I am sat next to the window, and I am waiting for the family to decide what to do with their seats. They won't decide who sits where, and when a few minutes had passed, I gave up and sat down in one of them. Hope is sat at the other side of the plane with Rafael. Landon was supposed to come with her, but something happened with his powers, and he needed to be at school. Rafael was the next person she wanted to invite, seeing as she didn't think it was fair to choose between the twins. I sense movement down the aisle. Finally, they have it sorted. I have my earphones in, currently listening to Paramore. I love this group. Someone sits next to me, then pulls my right earphone out. I turn my head and see them putting it in their own ear, then putting their belt on.

"What are you doing?" I ask them bluntly.

"Listening to music, love." He turns his head away and I turn mine back to the window. I feel his hand go on my thigh, and with me wearing shorts, their cold hand makes me jump. I look back at them and he smirks at me.

"Klaus, you can't." I push his hand off, but he just places it back on mine, higher up than it was before.

"Relax. Hope and Rafael have the whole middle row in between us. Freya, Keelin, Vincent and Nik are in the middle row three back from here, so they can't see us. Kol and Davina are three rows down, next to them, and Rebekah and Marcel are sat behind Hope and Rafael. No one can see us."

I move his hand again, and rise out of my seat slightly, looking over the plane. Everything that he said was true, no one could see us. Sitting back properly, I move his hand back on my thigh, then look out of the window again. Me and Klaus haven't done anything in a month, not since the ball. A few times, I have gone into his room in the morning to wake him up with a kiss, and he has done the same. We are thinking though that after the holiday, we might be able to spend more time together. Kol and Davina are going back to their home after the holiday, but they are planning to find a place in New Orleans near the compound. Rebekah and Marcel are going back to theirs as well. Freya and Keelin have moved to another house already. They sold their other one and have moved to a house that is three doors down from Vincent. Even though the compound is still all of their homes, they want a place where they can be just them. Not having all the family there all the time. We love each other a lot, but I get where they are coming from; sometimes it feels like they are back to being a child in a way. We will see each other all the time though, so I'm not that sad they are leaving.

After an hour of listening to music, I grab my book and start reading. I pass my phone over to Klaus so he can change songs. I still have an earphone in, but I don't mind what song we listen to while I read. He scrolls through my phone and changes it. The song, Mr Blue Sky comes on. It always reminds me of the movie The Magic Roundabout for some reason. When I am on my third chapter, Klaus gets his own phone out and starts reading on it. His hand is still on my thigh, just below where my shorts end. As I am deep into my book, the feeling of him making circles on my thigh with his thumb makes me stop focusing on what is happening with the story. After a while, I try to focus on my book again, but I get bored. Shutting my book and putting it away, I move in my seat. This makes Klaus take his hand off me. With us not having to wear seat belts, I move closer to him and lean my head on his shoulder. Seeing what I am doing, he pulls his arm around me, resting it on my waist. Slowly, I let my eyes fall shut, and soon, I am in a deep sleep.
