'Beauty Standards'

Some people like this, some people like that,
My body looks like a bear, her body looks like a cat,
People like skinny not girls who are fat,
"We're just saying,"when the society get mad.

Fair skin is praised, dark skin stays down,
People said only 'whites' could come around,
They wouldn't care if I put on a gown,
They would only see me as a monkey and a clown.

Her nose looks like button,a cute thing to stare,
Mine looks wider, with no bridge nor a stair,
Her ocean blue eyes, with her golden hair,
Well,mine?Don't ask,no one care.

Her lips are red,as they're also fuller,
Let me find mine, they should be here,
She posted her pictures with no scare and fear,
I kept them to myself, not wanting to shed a tear.

"You're the most beautiful I've ever seen,"
I wish to hear it to myself without any hint,
She sculptured her body with lust and keen,
I do wonder,what kinda world she's in?

Her body is smooth without a strand of hair,
Is it normal, leaving your skin out that bare?
Short skirts and short jeans whatever she wears,
I'll never get to,people will act like they care.

Perfect,imperfect,even the slightliest mistake,
Every inch of what we see barely true, mostly fake,
People praise that girl right there with her face that she bake,
But is it real, only appearances point that they take?
