'Ladies' little world'

A black silky dress,
For a ball made to feast,
Walking around with a pride to impress,
Without people knowing your head's a mess.

Look up,look right, look to your around,
They told you "Please,go home before dawn",
The predator come out to hunt you down,
You need to be quiet, without a flick of sound.

A yes,a no,it doesn't matter,
The words from your mouth, would make them such hater,
You arranged your proof neat on a platter,
They refused, let him run fast like a sprinter.

You let out a chuckle when the danger was near,
Only a laugh could hide all of your fear,
He spit out his words like you weren't here,
No one would care if you shed a tear.

"You need to work harder, smarter than the men,"
"They wouldn't let you to have a place on this land,"
"Even if you're capable,they wouldn't lend a hand,"
When daddy looked down to you,but momma said you can.

They said "Let down your skirt, the boys would stare,"
And sometimes "You're a girl,if you grow out your hair,"
"Don't sit like that,do it again,I dare",
They made up the rules, didn't mean they really care.

"Boys will be boys,"they said like it's right,
A mistake boys make, even the biggest fight,
Girls only stare with their lips to bite,
You had to endure to make self sleep at night.

You let out a sigh, wanting to scream,
Your head a mess, your mind start to whirl,
Cannot describe,it's harder than it seemed,
Honor welcome to ladies' little world.
