~ Auryn ~
Raeco and the others leave again in search of the sword. He did not come back on that day. Caren said he had something important to deal with. And that something important is Veenece.
They said that her family was massacred the same day. And her life was in danger. I can understand what she is going through 'cause I've been there. But I can't deny fact that Raeco is consoling her and it hurts me deep inside.
I shake my head and slaps both of my cheeks. I shouldn't be fretting in my feelings right now.
I should focus on what is more important. And that is getting stronger. I don't want to worry Rose again. I promise her that I will be safe.I straighten my body when I sense something. I turn around and saw ball rushing towards my direction. I quickly move aside to avoid the hit. I search on who would have thrown it to me.
"Your doing good."
It was the Chancellor walking to me. He held his hand and ball was thrown back in his hands.
"I guess, being engaged in the fight yesterday made an improvement to you." He is wearing a smile now on his face.
Oh, yes! I can sense now where the danger would came from. And can avoid it before hitting me. I guess the saying is true. You'll never learn unless you'll experience it.
"We're making your training tougher now." And his Spirit Guardian showed himself in full armor. "Try avoiding his attack."
My eyes widen when I realized what he just said. I remember he said yesterday making me stronger. Is this what he is thinking when he said those words?
"But-"
Before I can even complain, he slash his sword to me and step backward. Then he aim again and I just keel going backward. I ducked down when he raised his sword again. And before I can stand on my feet he directs his sword to me and I crawled away to save my life.
"Enough, Igneel."
I breath hard. My chest heaving up and down. I was nearly hit if I did not move in an instant. My life was clearly threatened.
"He's trying to kill me!"
I protest when I gathered my strength to stand up. Heck! My knees are trembling!
"I'm sorry, he is just being realistic." He has an apologetic tone but he's serious. "This is what it will look like in a war. This is what you are going to face in the future."
I nod in understanding. It's true. This will surely happen in a war. And we are facing a war. He is just making me realize that if I will not get stronger soon, I might not survive. This is reality.
His Spirit Guardian is about to attack again when I raise both of hands up in the air.
"WAIT! Just let me breathe more air!"
He pulls down his sword but not put it inside it's sheath. He is eyeing me like I'm his prey and he is the predator. While I'm composing myself, I'm also thinking of how I can deflect his attack.
If my Spirit Guardian is with me right now, I'm sure it will be easy. But he is not! It is only my self and I. I can only depend on myself. I inhale deep again. All I need to do is to dodge while observing him. If I am his prey, I don't want to me caught. Even a cat can run out alive if it get attacked by dogs.
I can too! I just need to focus and think clearly. I take a deep breath again with my eyes close.
Remember all that you have learned in you training, Auryn. You have gone too far. You are better now. You're not a coward who runs away now. You're getting braver and stronger. You can. You can. You will. You have no choice but to fight. You can.
