"It is for your safety. I still can't tell you the whole truth about me and you. For now, we need the sword back."
I was stunned. He is really determined to have the sword back. His eyes is burning with desire to have it. It looks like he is ready to kill just to have the sword.
"Are you bewitched by the sword?"
Because he looks like it. I admit I was also drawn to it but he is more than I expected.
"Don't tell me that you did not feel the sword calling for you to touch it?"
What he said puts me to silence. It is true. But I am not the Gryphon's Warrior. It is Lucas so why does it feel like I should be the one who can have the sword?
"We can ask Chancellor-"
He roars and I was stopped to my words. It was so loud I thought I would lose my sense of hearing.
"Don't tell any one about this. I did not train you so hard to be in danger. This is only between you and I."
"But the Chancellor is a trusted person!"
I reasoned out to him. I trust him because he trust on me when I can't. He is like a father to me, now.
"I know but it would be better if he knows nothing. For everyone's safety."
"What do you mean for everyone's safety?"
He is feeding my mind in curiosity. It seems like he knows everything that is going to happened. And he is hiding the truth about him. About us.
"We need to take back the sword." He put his hands on my shoulder blades. And press his forehead on mine, our nose tip touching. "I will tell you everything, once we have it."
His eyes is filled with determination. It seems that the sword holds the answer to pacify my curious mind. And will tranquilize his agitated mind.
~ Lucas ~
"Mother, I already found the sword!"
My eyes beams with joy as I showed her the Gryphon's cursed sword. She can put her mind at ease, now. She no longer have to worry about the Council's dark plan.
Her eyes glimmers as her hand laced the sword's blade before she lift it up in the air. Mesmerized by it's beauty despite of being cursed.
It's grip is golden. The cross guard, animated the wings of an eagle and it's rain guard is the head of the lion. All in pure gold.
As expected from the Gryphon."Finally!" She walk in the center of the room and faced her mirror. Her reflection, holding the sword makes her eyes shine brighter. Her lips was curved in a satisfied smile. "I can cease now from worrying."
"Mother, how can you hold the sword?"
I thought only the Gryphon, the Eagle, the Lion and a highly spiritual priestess can hold the sword without getting intimidated by it's power.
She held her hand to me and I take it. She caressed my cheeks with her bright smile and serene eyes.
"I have an spiritual power, son. That is why they are perturbed if I had this sword. They know, I can ruin their plan."
"Then we should act now, mother."
I'm sure that the Councils have known about my treachery. They will search for the sword and it will endanger my mother's life. I can't let that happen.
"Not now, son." She turned her back and put the sword on her vanity table. "We need to lift the curse out of the sword, first."
"But how, Mother?"
She turned to face me again, her left hand on my shoulder while her right hand cupped my face.
"We need, Veenece's help."
What she said bathe me with puzzlement. How did Veenece come out of the topic? And she is in the Councils side. As if she would help us.
"She is an Oracle, Son. She can purify the sword and once purified, we can finally stop the Council and eliminate the Academy."
She leans closer to my ears.
"Take her and bring her here."
She cups my face lovingly before enveloping me in a hug. When she pulls back she kissed my cheeks.

I can't help the sinister smile forming in my face as Lucas walks out of my room.
Poor, child. He didn't know he was being used.
As long as I have that child, I can have everything I wanted without mingling with the Academy.
It is a good thing I did not perished him the moment he learnt of my existence. When he is done with his task, I can throw him in death. Making my power greater for his blood. The blood of a Guardian.
The light in the room flickers as the black smoke ramps on the floor, surrounding the sword.
The wind blew cold and eerie. It was already awakened! The Gryphon Warrior awakens it!
I let go the victorious laugh in the air making the atmosphere spookier than it is. Lucas is really doing me a great favor. I can finally awakens him, after two decades of slumbering. Finally!
"Luck is rejoicing with us this time. The Dragon will be awake sooner than we expected it."
We just need to wait a little more time before we make our move. Once the sword was purified with Veenece blood, we can have the Golden Dragon's blood.
Blood.
It is, really, the river if life. It makes your pulse beat to existence.
But once, drain.
It will cost your life.
My ominous bliss echoed in the room and the dark black smoke dance in its rhythm as it envelopes me.
~ Gryphon ~
I can feel the sword being defiled with darkness. It's power is being tainted. The enemy succeeded in having it. But we still have a last card of hope.
I just need to touch the sword and it will only recognize me as it's master. The Oracle Priestess gifted it to me to conceal my real power. Because Death craved that kind of power. It is not cursed like what they said.
Once Death have that power, the Destruction will be reborn and this peaceful world will fall down in apocalypse.
This is why the real sword was buried with its last warrior. To hide it from Death. It sounds ironic but finding it in the afterlife is not easy in the living world.
But the sword was summoned by the genuine heart of a Guardian Warrior to save and protect her greatest treasure, that is why the sword was hidden in her death.
Even if the sword was gone silent with the death, once called for its protection, it presence will rise up to glorify the genuine heart's desire.
I always know something like this will happen that is why, just like the sword, I've been hiding in silence. Until I was awakened by my vessel.
The sword. My sword. I need to have it before it can totally lose its desire to protect as it was it's very reason why it was crafted.
