Chapter 21

~ Meanwhile ~

"We need Veenece!"

I shout when we entered the Academy. We headed straight to the clinic. The Warrior is giving up on pain. We can't just touch nor pull the dagger.

It is true. When you were stab by that dagger, there is no trace of blood but you will surely suffer from a great pain. The Warrior is drenched in sweat of agony. His scream is horrific.

When Veenece entered the room, she had a shocked face and her hand covers her mouth. She is the descendant of Oracle. She can purify the curse from the dagger and she can save the Warrior's life.

The Warrior screams again.

"Veenece, we can't waste another minute. The Warrior can't stand the pain anymore!"

She walks immediately to the bed where the Warrior is and she place her palms on the dagger. White light is coming off her palms. Black smoke arises from the dagger.

She take a few steps backward when the smoke becomes darker. Her light brightens engulfing the smoke. When the smoke was gone, she pulled the dagger and it turns to ashes in her hands.

The dagger disappears. It is not the real dagger but it has it's same effect.

The Warrior fell on the bed passing out. Our most powerful healer took charge. Then the door opened and revealed the Chancellor.

"What happened in your mission?"

"It is confirm, Sir." I clench my  fist while saying the next words. Why, daughter? Why did you do it? "Beatrice is alive. She is the Mistress of Death."

"Professor"

Pity was present in his words. How did my only daughter turns out to be a villain? I thought I raised her well. Where did I go wrong?

How can I tell Lucas? He loves his Mother. He will not accept it. I don't want to shatter his memories with his Mother. I'm afraid he might lose it, when he knows the truth about her Mother.

"One more thing, Sir." Professor Connor said gesturing the wounded Warrior. "The dagger of the Black Dragon stabbed him. Although it is not the real one."

"We got more problems than what we already had." His lips pressed into thin line. His face becomes more serious. "We cannot let our guard down. We should be prepared. Whether we have the sword or the Gryphon Warrior. The safety of the Academy and the Warriors are more important."

Of all time why will it appear now? The Black Dragon is the opposite of Chancellor Barnabee's Spirit Guardian, the Golden Dragon.

The Golden Dragon is known as the King's Dragon. It is the symbol of power and strength. Some in Asian countries such as in China, Korea and Japan, this dragon is the emblem of their king. All of the King's properties, even clothes and things, a golden Dragon was present.

The Black Dragon is the destruction. It brings disaster, misery and bad luck. It symbolizes vengeance and evilness. A dragon embracing  a skull. It means death. A fatal death that will immediately melt your skin. Leaving your bones like it's symbol.

It's been two days since my training with Chancellor Barnabee. He becomes busy since that day. When Professor Ravenous and Professor Connor arrived from their task.

I asked if there's something wrong. He says I'll just focus in my training but without his guidance for now. I thought, I and my Spirit Guardian, Phearo, will get along now. He is still rude on me but not as rude like he used to.
