"Where are you going?"

I turn around to see Lucas frowning on me. He just caught me sneaking out of the Academy but I don't care. Where I am going is an important matter.

"I'm going to the waterfall."

He grab my hand when I continue to walk away.

"You are not going there!"

I slap his hand away.

"I need to confirm my conclusion. Since your all hiding something from me, mind as well investigate in my own."

"It is for your own sake! Why are you so stubborn? We just don't want anything worst to happen to you."

"Your forgetting one thing. I. Am. A. Guardian. Warrior." I emphasize each word. "I can protect myself."

"But your Spirit Guardian is not with you!" He argued. "And I was assigned to protect you."

He take my hand again and drag me back. I jerk off his hand but his hold tightens.

"You think Phearo will like this? I'm sure, if he is here, he will drop you from the sky for your recklessness."

"Look who's talking."

He stop walking. I tried taking my hand back again but he just scowled.

"Still, you are not going anywhere!"

"Then tell me what you have discovered that day." I was referring to the day we met Toby and Rino slipped in the waterfall.

He stares to me for a good seconds then he sighed.

"Okay. Why are you going there?"

"I don't believe what Rino said. Toby wouldn't be that scared if it's just a normal eel. There is something lurking in the waterfall."

"What if he has a phobia?"

Well, I have thought about it already but it just doesn't make sense.

"Toby said it was a very big eel that pulled Rino in the waters." I put a stress on the word very. "Not to mention, Rino is not himself these few days."

"You are right. That is why Raeco and I suggested that we take the villagers in because the waters flowing in the river is from that waterfall."

Then he continued to walk again, pulling me.

"Wait, there is more to it."

"I've already told you what we have found out and I swear to Chancellor that it will remain confidential but thanks to you I broke my words again."

This time, I pull him to stop and he turned to me. His facial expression now reminds me of the old days. The grumpy Lucas.

"When the war was on process, the villagers was enchanted by the Mistress of Death. She contaminated the river's water and it was drank by them."

His face did not change.

"I'm suspecting that the big eel Toby saw was the Black Dragon."

"You're giving me enough reason not to let you go there."

I thought I already convinces him but instead here he was, dragging me again. But instead of going to the training ground where everyone was, we are heading to the Academy's main building.

"Why are we heading this way?"

"We're going to confirm your conclusion. Let's go to the library."

"Then why are you still holding my hand?"

"I'm making sure that you will not go anywhere." He glance on me, smirking, gone with his signature grumpy look.
