~ Meanwhile ~
"VEENECE!!"I kick the door open and scanned the room. With the numbers of Shallows dead outside, I was expecting that the inside of the clinic was worst. But the room is not a mess. In fact, it was uncluttered. And she was sitting on her bed awake!
"What happened?"
I immediately walk up to her and pull her inside my arms. Feeling her warm and breathing. That she is safe. I inhaled in comfort, seeing her awake again and unscratched.
"You're awake, thank goodness!" Caren exclaimed when they entered the room.
"The Mistress of Death and the Shallows already start attacking us. They did not attacked you, right?" I gently pushed her back and cupped her face. She reach for my hands and she nods.
"You found me?"
"It is Auryn who found you." Toki answered her question. "Thanks to her stubborn Spirit Guardian."
"Did Lucas did this to you?" I clenched my fist on my side as her unconscious body flashed in my mind.
"NO!" She shake her head side to side. "He saved me. He finally able to freed himself that night when the sword was purified and it's light was vanished."
"Then where is that prodigal son?" Shaun asked, frowning his forehead.
"He just left me after he laid me near the Academy's entrance. I don't know where he went to." She caress my face as she look straight into my eyes. " He has no fault. He was just used to let my vision be fulfilled."
"Still I will not forget that he hit you."
"Where is Auryn?" Her eyes search the room. "You said she is the one who found me. I should thank her."
That is when I remembered that she was unconscious awhile back. I averted my eyes to my colleagues.
"Did you tell Professor Rose about what happened to her?"
"I will go notice her and check on Auryn." Caren was on the door frame when she stop. "By the way, glad your wounds are healed up already. The Healer said it was impossible to heal them." She waved her hand before she go on.
I inspected her wounds on her body but there was not even a sign of cuts. A moment ago, her wounds are still fresh and she was still in pain but now it was as if she was not wounded by the Gryphon's sword.
"How is your Spirit Guardian?"
She closed her eyes and when she shifts to her armor, we have confirmed that they are both in a good condition now.
"How did it happen?"
Shaun and Toki exchanged looks, both in confusion. I, too, was confused how did it happened. If this was a miracle, I am thankful of it. I swear, I will never keep my eyes off her again. I will protect her with my life.
"I am cured and so is my Spirit Guardian. Only a Guardian Warrior with a vigorous spiritual power can heal a Gryphon's wound." She paused for a moment, lost in her thoughts. Then she grab my arms in haste. "It's Lucas!"
"What do you mean it was Lucas?"
Toki was submerged in confusion. Shaun beside him has his brows in line.
"Did he came her to get you?"
"No! He is the only one who can cure a wound given by the Gryphon's sword." When we have her no reaction, she continue. "He is the Gryphon's Warrior."
"Yeah, we know that already." Toki said after she finishes her words. " But isn't it that the only thing that can kill the Gryphon is it's sword? Why would he risk his life?"
