"You are too slow!"
Phearo stomp his feet on the brick floor while his arms are crossed on his chest.
"You need to focus hard on the target! You only hit five out of ten!"
We are on top of west tower of the Academy mastering my archery. An attack from the air is better than on ground. And he said the sky is the safest place for me during the war.
He is right, though. When I am up on the air, I see my whole enemies. I can observe all their movement and I can easily elude a fatal blow.
I focus my next arrow on the bird wandering on the sky. It is hard to hit them. Their movement can't be predicted. They stop, slows down and dash in the air.
When I got the momentum I've been waiting, I let go of the arrow. It's sharp short sound echoed on the air, a hint that I hit it. I did not directly hit it. The arrow passes through its small body. Like an illusion.
I continue to release an arrow one after another. Some of the arrows went straight to my target, while some almost. But it was good, anyway.
I put down the bow and massaged my shoulder. It is getting numb and the bloold on my finger already dried up. As usual there was no wound, just blood.
"I was wondering." He nods his head to me, a hint that he is listening to my words. "You already gave me my weapon. How about my armor?"
Everyone was in their armor, while I'm still on my soft jeans and tee. I don't look like a Guardian Warrior.
"It is not, yet, the right time for you to have it."
But why? I'm still too weak for it? Caren told me, when your Spirit Guardian give you your armor, your soul unites and becomes one. Making you a real Guardian Warrior.
"I can't fight in the war with this clothes." I gestured to him my usual clothes. "And Rose won't let me."
She got so worried when I passed out the time the Shallows had their attack on the village. She told me that if the war comes and I am not in my armor, she won't let me join and help them.
"I can't just watch them fight and die. I want to help them. I don't want to run away." I lowered my head, looking on the brick floor. "I want to help. Not just hiding and doing nothing. Like I did when my family was murdered."
"You know why I did not vanish and waited for you to break free from your cage?" He take step closer to me and lifted my head up. "Because of your scared heart."
"Didn't you hated me for being weak?"
And now he is telling me that because of my fears he did not left me?
"Your heart is scared to lose the one you cherish. The fear of failing to protect and save them. You have a strong heart because of that fear."
A smile formed in my lips. How ironic. Because of that fear I became strong. I became who I am now. I guess, fear and cowardice has a positive outcome. It will make you stronger.
"It's a good thing you're not rude-"
He jerked me to his back when we heard a blast bolted in the air. I sneaked out of his back and look down. The Academy was envelope with smoke evaporating in the air.
Then a ball of blue light crashed down again. We heard another loud bang.

I whip my sword in the air to send another fatal blow to the Academy before landing on it's balcony. I walk strait to the library where she could possibly be.
