Tired.
We are all tired in our search of the sword. We had search from all the greatest treasure. From the finest and oldest crown of the royals. Their most treasured personal things. Everything!
We even went from country to country just to hope in finding it. The last country we had search is in France. We even invaded a grave in Greece, the Griffin Warrior tomb. After in Greece, we went straight to France hoping that their Griffin Shipwreck holds a clue.
But still, nothing. We just confirmed one clue. It was hidden in death.
And we are getting physically tired from our travel. It is easier if we can have our Spirit Guardian, but ordinary people will surely be surprise if they saw a Wolf Man in the crowd.
I sighed when we are in front of the Council Room door. I knock three times before entering. We all bowed our head. Oh, except Lucas! He just stand there glaring us as if questioning what the heck are we doing.
"Welcome back, Warriors."
The Chancellor had his arms open when he greeted us. He gestured us to sit in the long table, him sitting on the center.
"Sir, we are still in search of the sword."
"I see. The Griffin tomb does not have the sword." He nods in understanding. "I assumed you went to search in other places. Your presence is gone for a quite time."
"Yes, Sir. We went to France but we only confirmed one thing." The Chancellor focused his ears on us while I report to him. "The sword was not here in the living. Death is protecting it's light."
He averted his eyes on Lucas. He is still not showing respect to the Chancellor. He still had his grudge on him.
"You did not sense even it's slight presence?"
"If I did, he shouldn't have said what he had said, old man."
Caren, Shaun and Toki had their eyes widen. He is the only one who addressed the Chancellor an old man.
Chancellor Barnabee ignores his rudeness. He just nods to us. He knows what is the reason behind his arrogance.
We have two Eagle Warriors. Maybe, if he can let Auryn to join us. Just maybe, even without the presence of her Spirit Guardian, she can feel it's aura.
"Sir, if Lucas can't sense, as the Lady of the Lake said, maybe Auryn can help us."
Lucas scoffs. He didn't like what I have just said. But it is true. We need to find the sword as soon as possible.
"Auryn." The Chancellor put his hands on the table, entwined. "Hmm, maybe she can that her Spirit Guardian is with her now."
"What! You-" Caren covered her mouth when she noticed her raised tone. "I'm sorry, Sir. I just got excited that her Spirit Guardian accepted her now."
It is obvious on her face. Even her eyes is twinkling. Same with Shaun.
"Oh, the Guardian accepted his weak Warrior." Lucas raised his brow with taunt.
Chancellor Barnabee giggled.
"Why don't you see her now if she's still the weak Warrior that got rejected by her Spirit Guardian?"
He had an amusing look on his face. It seems that he succeeded in guiding her in her training.
"Too glad!" Toki exclaimed. "She proved to her arrogant Guardian that she is more than the eye can see."
