It was the mighty Gryphon!
Phearo.
He drifted down to Rino kicking his talons to him and he was thrown back in the waters. He opens his beak and a golden ball of power was formed then diverts it to the water.
I sped off to secure Auryn while he makes the diversion. It was when Raeco tried to communicate with me again.
I have her. We are heading back.
I fly straight where the clinic is when we arrived in the Academy and all of them followed when they saw me. The Healers told me to wait outside but I don't want to leave her side. In the end, they agreed and run the test to her.
"What's wrong with her?"
Professor Rose rush to her when she saw her condition. She held her hand and caress her face. Beside her is the Chancellor.
My grandfather came to my side and stroke my back, comforting me.
"Her body is okay. In fact, all is normal."
"Then why is she isn't waking up?"
Before the Healer could answer, Raeco and all of them crowds the room.
"Auryn-" Caren covered her mouth when she saw her.
"I can see a black aura on her."
All our eyes was set on Veenece.
Right! She is an Oracle priestess. She can see the evil's presence.
"You can purify her." I snatch her from Raeco and pull her to Auryn. Surprisingly, he did not objects and he have an understanding look on his face. "You can help her."
But she shakes her head as she look at me in the eyes.
"It is so strong, my power can't overcome it."
Then I remembered Phearo. He was the most powerful Spirit Guardian, he can definitely help her.
"PHEARO!"
I shout out loud, hoping he could hear it and appear again.
"You know that he's out healing himself, Lucas." Raeco said.
"No, he's back. He helped us escape."
I was about to call him again when my grandfather force me to look at him.
"Son, calm down. She will be okay."
"She is NOT okay!" I gestured to her.
I don't want to see her like this. If only I chase right after they left. If only I shouldn't took her there. If only I was stronger than her to break her barrier. If only, then she shouldn't end up making that stupid decision.
"She is strong. Nothing wrong is going to happen to her."
I slump myself on the floor and lean my head on the wall. I feel so helpless. So desperate. Again. I failed to protect her.
I drop my head on my hands as I silently prayed for her to wake up.
"She's not dying."
I heard a gasps. I held up my head and see Phearo. All of them was shocked to see him again.
I immediately stand up.
"You can help her."
"I can't help her. The Black Dragon cast her in the darkness. She is facing her fears right now."
"What do you mean?" Professor Rose asked.
"The Black Dragon feast on it's opponent's fears. That is why she was chained in the polluted water, so he can invade her soul and find her fears."
