It was my first day with the old hog. I was going to ensure every second I spent with him, would be as torturing as it was for me.
He didn't understand the gravity of his own situations and boy was I going to integrate myself onto his kill list.
Ah, the joy of being a little fucker.
Hayden and Xavier were reluctant to have me training with the oldie but I was hell bent on seeing what he got out of this.
No one would do things like this purely out of kindness, he definitely had ulterior motives.
I had questioned Hayden as to why they didn't trust the man to teach me despite him being the head advisor of the palace.
Apparently, he hated Atticus from his very core. They still doubted his intentions.
Pulling my socks in place, I finally stood to my full height. I was dressed in my athleisure as I headed to the training room.
Boy was I ready to exhaust my body. It wasn't everyday I felt this energetic and renewed.
"You're late." A voice called out as soon as I entered.
I pointed at the clock behind him, "By what? A minute?"
"Time will not stop for anyone Scarlett."
"Right right, I don't think we were introduced the other day, what's your good name?" I asked.
"Julian Gamarra."
"And how old are you?"
He looked over at me, unimpressed, "I lost count after I turned 227."
"Same." I muttered sarcastically.
"What was that?"
I smiled sweetly, "Oh nothing, shall we begin?"
"In time."
