Prologue
Venice, Italy, 2018 .
Werewolves from across the world were invited to one of the most remarkable occasion in history - to celebrate the crowning of their new king. The coronation happened every three hundred years. People to be born during this era were considered fortunate.
To see the birth of a new empire, a new kingdom, and a new King.
The system of royal blood having the throne was long abolished. Every Alpha was summoned and tested.
By tested I do not mean the simple one-on-one fights or sparring. Oh no, no, no.
All Alpha's were summoned to Rome and split into groups of seven. Seven was considered a lucky number in werewolf mythology explaining the use of groups of seven.
Then they were unleashed into the darkest forest in the world for seventy eight hours, to fight for the crown. Multiple traps were set up in the forest, you could help no one but your own team. The team which comes back with the crown wins. The members of this team are then kept in a sealed room with no food or water for two days. When the first rays of the sun hit the forest grounds, the door is opened and they are supposed to run till the holy ground of Circus Flaminius, temple of Poseidon.
There were a total of sixty three Alpha's across the world. There were seven major packs under which there were subdivisions.
The Warriors.
The Skyscrapers.
The Rouges.
The Artists.
The Scientists.
The Ultimates.
The Lovers.
It was a brutal process and many alpha's even died at times. But the question was - who wouldn't fight for the throne? To rule the world? To have everyone obey them? To have everyone bow down to them?
Their greed fueled their need to fight for the crown.
The winner was crowned in front of everyone. The king wasn't announced before the coronation and the participants weren't supposed to disclose it either.
