Chapter XXXVI
I woke up with a smile etched across my face. Zeke was arriving today.
I was ready in record time and hopped all the way to the kitchen, humming an old tune I didn't even know I had ever learnt.
It was pretty early and no one else had actually had breakfast yet. Having the place to my self for the first time since I got here was a rather pleasant experience.
I sighed happily, glad I got to make my own breakfast today.
By the time I had finished breakfast, his plane had already landed, he just had to checkout with his luggage and get into a taxi.
Having some time to kill, I roamed around the palace just enjoying the serene beauty it offered. What I really liked about this castle was that even though majority of it's structure was based off European architecture, the furniture antique, it still had a modern touch to it in certain areas. All the colors blended into each other perfectly, making the whole castle look majestic.
Through the window, I saw as taxi entered the metal gates into the driveway. Gushing with excitement, I literally ran down the stairs, skipping two steps at a time.
By the time I heard the car pull up, I was by the front gate, waiting impatiently for the guards to let him through.
By now Xavier and Hayden were descending the stairs as well, talking to one another. They both stopped when they saw me standing in front of the main gate, hands clasped.
They probably didn't expect me to be up and ready this early. I had already told everyone at the dinner table that my best friend was coming here.
I'm pretty sure everyone could see how happy I was, I was literally bouncing in my seat last night.
"Good morning, your best friend is arriving this early?" Asked Hayden as he finally descended the last step.
I was so high on adrenaline, I just turned to him and nodded like a maniac, I gigantic smile plastered on my face.
The door creaked open and I whipped my head in it's direction.
Zeke was heading in with a huge suitcase in hand, dressed in a black turtleneck and black jeans.
He hadn't even taken his first step when I leapt onto him like a rabid animal.
He chuckled as he hugged me tightly. I had wrapped my legs around his waist and kissed his cheeks relentlessly when we heard a growl.
I turned to the source of the noise to see Xavier walking out of the room.
Hayden gave us an awkward smile as he walked out after him.
Zeke chuckled as he put me down, "Sis, does he not know I'm gay?"
"Nope."
"You really tryna kill the poor man."
"Ehh, come on, I have to show you this whole damn palace! It's huge!" I tugged on his arm, trying to get him to move.
"That's what she said."
The rest of the day, I was busy giving Zeke a tour of the whole castle, or at least of however much I could. I should him the spot Xavier and I made out and he just smirked at me haughtily.
I also finally introduced him to Sasha in real life. They had both talked over facetime a bunch of times because of me but this was there first actual meeting.
Later that day, I introduced Zeke to Xavier, Hayden and Carlos.
I could literally see Zeke droll over the Greek God like men in front of him.
"Didn't know you were hiding such snacks." He whispered lowly.
So low that I barely heard it. I chuckled at that and he just elbowed me playfully.
Through out lunch, everyone tried to get to know Zeke better. Everyone except Xavier.
He just sat at the table, quiet as ever. He was holding onto his fork so tightly, his knuckles were white.
Was he feeling okay?
When Zeke and I were sitting on my balcony in the evening, enjoying the sunset, Xavier and Carlos walked in.
I was seating with my legs on Zeke's lap and my arm draped casually over his shoulder.
"What's up?" I asked when they just stood by my balcony door not saying anything.
"Have you seen Sasha?" Carlos asked, looking concerned.
"She was with us half an hour ago, I haven't seen her since." Zeke replied.
Sasha would occasionally hang out with us but would leave saying she didn't want to disturb our 'bff' re-bonding.
I knew that wasn't the only reason she had been eager to leave. Something else was up and I was sure as hell about to find out.
"Why? What happened?" I inquired curiously.
"The lock from the Oracle's gate is missing." Xavier whispered.

Short story time (skip if you don't wanna read but like...)- So basically, I was listening to music on Youtube and just having a good time when an old jam came on. Y'all know I'm a sucker for good music. So I straight up started dancing my a$$ off and song after song, I just kept going. I was in my zone, vibing so hard I hadn't even realized I was JUMPING way to high. It was okay at first but my clumsy self somehow managed to fall on a twisted foot.
I sprained my ankle AGAIN. For like the 5th time????? Gosh this is bad lmfao. And I mean, the past few times that I did sprain my ankle, it was during soccer matches or accidents. But this time? It was so uncalled for lol.
What do you take away from this kids? Always eat that icecream 😃🤡
As always, I missed you guys <3
