THE DIVINE REALM SERIES: THE BEGINNING OF THE DIVINES

CHAPTER 22 - LEAVING INTRA'S HOUSE

As Drake sits in Intra's house, wondering what had gone wrong with him and Dragoon, for Dragoon to be so angry at him. Whilst Intra was still dumbfounded after finding out both Drake and Dragoon possess control over more than just one element, unlike him and his brothers.

"I wouldn't let what just happened get to you to much, your brothers after all, I'm sure the two of you will work it out. However, I have a surprise for you" Intra says with a smile on his face as he places Drake's sword in front of him on to the table.

Drake not fazed by his sword being returned to him, just keeps staring through the window across from the table. "I'm going to head out to get something for dinner, I'll be back shortly" Intra mutters as he slowly leaves the house.

Drake sits and ponders about what had happened between him and his brother. He feels an urge building within him, to get his ass up and go and look for him. So, he quickly shoots up from his chair, grabs his sword and makes his way through the front door of Intra's house. Then begins heading straight towards Desteria.

Along the way to Desteria, Drake notices that it was beginning to get dark so he starts running as fast he can, whilst he was running he begins to notice the ground feeling softer and softer as he ran faster, eventually not feeling the ground at all, he quickly glances down noticing he is floating above the ground moving at a fast pace.

As soon as Drake realizes, he suddenly crashes down to the ground, rolling into a sand dune. Drake quickly jumps back to his feet and begins dusting himself off, confused and shocked about what had just happened, wondering if he was just flying or if it was his mind playing tricks.

Drake quickly shakes his head then begins running in the direction of Desteria once again. Feeling the same way as he did before, his footsteps getting lighter as he ran. Drake begins watching his feet as he runs faster, not noticing a slight turn in the path up ahead until it was too late, suddenly Drake crashes into a sand dune on the side of the path again.

Pulling himself out of the sand dune he brushes himself off once again, then looks down the path he was heading down, to see if it was straight. Once Drake sees it was a straight path, he takes off running as fast as he can again. Only glancing at his feet here and there noticing he is slowly lifting from the ground as he runs, once he was completely off the ground, he begins to slow down noticing he is still floating above the ground.

Drake confused as he floats above the ground, he raises one of his arms into the air to see if he would go higher, realizing it did nothing but make him look stupid, he stops then begins running through the air again slowly gaining speed. As he gets faster and faster, he realizes there is no longer any need to run and begins flying with no effort at all.

Drake stops in thesky once again a fair bit higher than he was before, "Seems I'm starting to getthe hang of this" Drake says to himself. Then he looks in the direction ofDesteria and takes off through the air.
