CHAPTER 37 - DRAKE'S FATHER

Drake furiously soars through the air, heading towards Kragmor where he thinks Yorshimiree might possibly be, thinking about everything that has transpired recently, the acquirement of the Divine swords, then receiving these powers off Yorshimiree, Dragoon's sudden change in attitude after attaining the powers, the oracles message and now finding out that their father was also blessed with Divine powers from Yorshimiree.

Drake's eyes begin to water, as he flies as fast as he can to Kragmor, the air becomes hotter and denser as he nears the border of Kragmor. Black clouds cover the sky, making it hard to tell if it is night or day. He looks down as he flies over the iron pass leading into the Slytherien mountains seeing Slytherien's atop iron pass watching him fly over. He soars past the Steel valley passage, as he begins to get closer to Kragmor's Volcano he can see Yorshimiree, Leviathan and Storm-Grey perched atop the towers of the obsidian castle.

The anger within Drake begins to boil the closer he gets to them, "YOU BASTARDS!" Drake screams as he launches towards Yorshimiree. Leviathan notices Drake approaching in the sky, then takes off into the air after him.

Drake not bothered by Leviathan shoots straight past him with his fist forward, heading directly for Yorshimiree. As Drake's fist collides with Yorshimiree's chest a large bolt of lightning crashes down on the exact spot he hits, striking Yorshimiree to the ground, the earth around them shakes as the tower Yorshimiree was perched on begins to crumble on top of Yorshimiree.

A large puff of dust and rubble surrounds the area, Storm-Grey and Leviathan watch the cloud carefully, rage beaming from their eyes. As the dust begins to settle Drake is kneeling on the ground next to Yorshimiree punching the ground. "Why didn't you tell me, you did the same thing with my father" Drake mutters as tears flow from his eyes.

"It is a lot more complicated then you think, Drake" Yorshimiree sighs as he lays amongst the rubble of the tower. Leviathan irritated by Drake spreads his wings out wide in the air lightning from the sky begins to surge into his wings, his mouth begins to glow bright white as the sky sounds a thunderous crackle.

Yorshimiree pulls himself out from the rubble and stands in front of Drake blocking him from Leviathan view, then begins to glare at Leviathan angrily.

Leviathan lowers his wings back down as he sees Yorshimiree standing in front of Drake, the light white glow dissipates from his mouth, "Fine, protect your pet human" Leviathan says as he flies away. Yorshimiree turns his attention to Storm-Grey giving him a slight glare. Storm-Grey knows instantly that he should leave, so he takes off into the sky towards Greywatch keep over the Accursed sea.

"Now we can talk privately" Yorshimiree says as he turns to look down at Drake kneeling on the ground. "You pack quite a punch there, Drake, I have not felt that kind of pain in a long time" Yorshimiree laughs as he leans his head down towards Drake.

Drake looks at Yorshimiree with tears rushing down his face "What happened to my father?" Drake cries as he looks back down at the ground. "Hmm you've learnt about your father then, I will be completely honest with you Drake, this was not meant to come out this way but there are only a few families throughout the entirety of this realm that can sustain our blessing without mutating or dying, your bloodline is one of the families" Yorshimiree explains.

"Was this whole thing some sort of plan?" Drake asks furiously as he glares at Yorshimiree. Yorshimiree pauses as he raises his head away from Drake, "For you... yes, for your brother no, he was meant to die back at the shrine" Yorshimiree says as he watches Drake.

Drake shocked by what he was hearing, slowly gets to his feet, his vision becoming blurry as he stumbles around slightly, he freezes on the spot and shakes himself trying to get more stability "Why me and not my brother?" Drakes asks as he holds his head, tears dripping from his cheeks. "It is quite simple, your soul is pure, whereas your brothers, even before Behemoth got to him, his soul was tarnished" Yorshimiree explains.

"Behemoth, who the fuck is Behemoth?" Drake asks aggressively as he still tries to maintain his stability. "Behemoth is one of us Divine Beasts, although he controls darkness, one of his entities has attached itself to your brother's soul, unfortunately there isn't any way to remove these entities except for death" Yorshimiree explains as his expression saddens.

"Firstly you take my father from me with out me even knowing, and now you have taken my brother as well, what else are you going to take from me" Drake says as he begins gasping for breath. Yorshimiree looks at Drake with a saddened expression as a tear falls from his scaley cheek.

"Drake you need to calm down and listen to me" Yorshimiree says as he lowers his head close to Drake. Drake looks up at Yorshimiree, anger in his eyes as tears flow down his face "I've had enough of listening to you" Drake shouts as he rips his sword out from his waist, swiftly slashing Yorshimiree's cheek. Yorshimiree lets out a loud roar as he pulls his head away from Drake, he quickly calms down as he leans his head back down to Drake. "Listen to me, Drake you are now apart of something bigger, just like your father was... DRAKE LOOK OUT!" Yorshimiree says as he quickly wraps his wings around Drake.

Suddenly a large black scaled dragon crashes into the ground in front of Yorshimiree, sending ashen dust and rubble flying into the air, Yorshimiree steps forward looking into the dusty cloud fiercely "Zudriax, why are you here?" Yorshimiree grunts in an infuriated tone. Bright red malevolent eyes beam through the dust cloud, "Why wouldn't I be here, great one, I've come to meet your new pet" Zudriax chuckles as the dust cloud begins to clear, revealing Zudriax's coal like scales with red hot glowing streaks, almost as if lava was beneath his scales.

Yorshimiree uncovers Drake as he steps forward, looking directly at Zudriax, infuriated by his abrupt appearance, "Drake you need to leave" Yorshimiree says in a stern voice as he moves his leg, blocking Drake from Zudriax's vision.

Drake looks up at Yorshimiree with a worrisome expression, despite their disagreement currently, he still seems to have some empathy for Yorshimiree. "Go now Drake, we will finish our conversation another time" Yorshimiree yells as he takes a step forward towards Zudriax.

Drake glances through Yorshimiree's wings seeing Zudriax glaring at Yorshimiree as lava drips from his mouth, Zudriax sees Drake in the corner of his eye as he glares at Yorshimiree, he begins to grin then lunges forward at Yorshimiree, his left claw digs into the side of Yorshimiree's neck, whilst the other reaches for Drake, Yorshimiree roars loudly into the sky as Zudriax's claw pierces his skin, digging deeper as Zudriax continues to desperately reach for Drake.

Drake quickly rushes to the back of Yorshimiree as his feet stamp around. Once Yorshimiree can see the Drake is out of reach, he grabs Zudriax's neck and throws him off him. Zudriax's claws rip a chunk of skin off Yorshimiree's neck as he throws him away. Blood gushes out of the wound as Yorshimiree tightens his grip on Zudriax's neck "LEAVE NOW" Yorshimiree yells furiously at Drake.

Drake watches the scene for a moment, then slowly takes off into the air away from obsidian castle, once Drake is a fair distance away flying over the mountains, he hears Yorshimiree's agonizing roar echo over the Slytherien Mountains, he quickly turns around to try and see what happened, but all he can see is a large burst of lava splash up into the air.

As he gazes on from a distance, he can see Storm-Grey flying back over the accursed sea, Drake feels slightly relieved at the sight, he turns back away from obsidian castle, suddenly a pearly white dragon storms past Drake, knocking him out of the sky. Drake panics as he falls to the ground, closing his eyes before the impact.

Drake confused slowly opens his eyes to see himself flouting just above the ground, he turns back to the white dragon in the sky, seeing Leviathan flying hastily towards obsidian castle.

"I swear Leviathan hates me" Drake says to himself as he makes his way back up into the air. He hovers for a minute staring in the direction of obsidian castle "I hope your alright Yorshimiree" Drake mutters softly to himself then begins to fly back towards Desteria.
