CHAPTER 24 - ASHTA'S SHOP

Drake still standing out the front of Ashta's shop not knowing what to say or do, begins to hear rustling and timber being thrown around from within Ashta's shop. Drake slowly makes his way inside to see Intra pulling himself out of a pile of rubble and armor. "You are alright" Drake says in shock, as watches Intra emerge from the pile of rubble unscathed.

"I'm going to kill that boy" Intra says to himself as he gets to his feet and dusts himself off. "LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY SHOP" Ashta screams as he storms through the door of his ship seeing rubble and armor spread around the shop. "What I did to your shop, did you see what happened out there" Intra says as he looks around the shop.

Drake just standing in a daze looking at the empty armor stand at the back of the room where the armor that Dragoon stole use to be. "hey, Drake help me clean this up" Intra says snapping Drake out of his trance. "Alright then" Drake sighs as he makes his way over to help clean.

When they hear a knock at the door, Drake turns his head to see who it is only to see the woman he had seen earlier today standing shyly by the door. Drake shot back up to his feet staring straight at her "Are you okay" the woman softy stutters.

Drake just standing in there staring slowly points at himself "Me" he says hopefully. The woman nods as she smiles and blushes. "I'm okay thank you" Drake says politely with a smile as he slowly makes his way towards the woman.

"May I ask your name" Drake asks as he gets closer to the woman still dazed by her beauty. "My name... My name is Nessa" her cheeks get redder as she speaks. "Nessa, such a beautiful name" Drake says with a smile.

"Drake you going to introduce me" Intra chuckles from behind him. Drake quickly turned towards Intra looking at him with a deathly stare. "I'm just joking, you two go have fun, we will clean this up" Intra laughed. Drake turns back towards Nessa an continues walking slowly out the door with her "Wait, what do you mean we, where do you think you're going?" Ashta says frustratedly. Drake not paying attention to Ashta continues walking out of the shop with Nessa.

"What is this, you trash my shop and get to go on a date, while I clean it up" Ashta says as he clenches his fist with frustration. "Just shut up and help me clean" Intra says with a smile.

Once they were out of the shop Nessa stops "Why didn't you fly away from that man earlier, the people of Desteria wouldn't have thought ill of you, if anything that would've been shocked that you could fly, bandits come through here all the time causing havoc" Nessa asks curiously.

"That man wasn't a bandit he was... ahh don't worry it's not important, why did you run away from me earlier but come to talk to me now?" Drake replies trying to avoid the subject of his brother. "It's not every day you see a man fly through the sky and then crash into a wall, I was in a bit of shock and to be honest you kind of look like a bandit in those beat up clothes" Nessa chuckles with a slight blush in her cheeks.

Drake looks down at his old, ragged clothes "Yea I've been meaning to get some new armor" Drake says with a sigh, the expression on his face beginning to sadden. "Why don't you just buy some, you were just in Ashta's shop silly" Nessa replies confused by Drake's facial expression.

Drake stays silent for a moment, as he dwelled on the situation, he has with Dragoon now. "Are you alright?" Nessa asks softly as she gently puts her soft hand on Drake's shoulder. Instantly Drake's face went bright red feeling the soft touch of her skin through one of the rips in his clothes. "yea I'm okay" he responds quickly with a large smile on his face. Nessa giggles as she blushes in return.

"Drake I got you something" Intra says as he walks up from behind Nessa. "What?" Drake asks confused and annoyed by Intra's interruption. As Intra emerges from behind Nessa he is holding a shiny light green set of armor. "You need to get rid of those old clothes" Intra chuckles, followed by Nessa's slight giggle.

Drake looks down at the armor, seeing it was not one of the ones that were on display the other day at Ashta's shop. "Where did you get it?" Drake asks out of curiosity. "Ashta gave it to me seeing as he owes me a favor for destroying the wyvern nest north of here" Intra explains with a smile on his face. "A WYVERN NEST, YOU MEAN DRAGONS" Nessa says in shock. "Not really, dragons are a lot bigger than wyverns, Drake knows that" Intra says as he winks at Drake. Drake just standing there confused, how did one man destroy a whole wyvern nest and still be alive with his whole body intact.

"Drake we need to go see that dragon" Intra's expression dropped as he spoke seriously. Drake looked back at Intra with a serious expression and nodded. "But we'll do that tomorrow, I'll let you two love birds enjoy your day" Intra says as his expression goes back to a large smile.

"Love birds, what!!!" Both Drake and Nessa said as their faces went bright red when they looked at each other. "See you like each other, it's clear as day, enjoy your day you to" Intra chuckles as he begins walking towards Scavengers inn.

Both Drake and Nessa spend the day talking and getting to know one another but since Intra mentioned that they had to go see "that dragon" tomorrow, it was constantly on both Drakes and Nessa minds. What was Drake going to say to Yorshimiree, as he was angry that Yorshimiree saving him changed him so drastically.
