The black and white tom-cat bounded out of the warriors den. His deep blue eyes scanned the camp for his friend and when he saw the cream-coloured cat, he ran over.

"Dreamstream!" Flamerunner meowed, a bright and goofy grin plastered on his face.

Dreamstream lifted his head, looking at Flamerunner, "Morning Flame." He sat up, "Something going on today?"

"No, nothing big." Flamerunner shook his head, "I just figured we could go hunting today!" He raised his voice, making sure that some of their clanmates could hear him.

Dreamstream picked up on the idea, "Sounds good." He agreed, hopping to his paws. "Lead the way!"

Flamerunner trotted out of the camp entrance, his head and tail held high. Dreamstream followed his clanmate, laughing at the excitement.

See, the two Riverclan warriors weren't actually planning to hunt, instead they were headed to their neighbouring clan, Shadowclan. They had a friend there, and they met up at the borders just to chat.

Flamerunner slowed down as they approached the Shadowclan border, looking across at the other territory for any sign of Bluethorn.

Dreamstream's ears twitched, hearing footsteps nearby. He looked around and was met with bright amber eyes. "Ah!" He yelped, jumping back.

The brown tabby grinned, "Got ya that time, Dreamstream." He mewed in pride.

Dreamstream rolled his eyes, chuckling, "Whatever, next time I'll get you again."

Flamerunner rushed over, "Hey, Bluethorn!"

"Hi, Flamerunner!" Bluethorn chirped, "How's life in Riverclan? Eat more stinky fish?" He teased.

Dreamstream laughed, "Says the cat who eats frogs!"

"I don't eat frogs, I just got mixed up that time!" He stuck his tongue out.

Flamerunner patted his paw on Bluethorn's head, "Is Dreamstream being mean to you again?"

"Yes, tell him to be nice." Bluethorn flicked his ear, pouting.

Dreamstream laughed, walking past Bluethorn, "Wanna go check out the lake?" He asked the other two, who simply nodded in response.

Dreamstream led the way to the lake, followed by Flamerunner and then Bluethorn. Bluethorn trailed behind, not very comfortable near the water, but it wasn't like he was going to go in.

When they got to the lake, Dreamstream and Flamerunner immediately stepped into the water, playing and splashing.

Bluethorn watched from the shore. It never happened that often, but when it did, he hated getting his paws wet.

Dreamstream noticed that Bluethorn was just watching them, and an idea popped into his head. It was a mean idea, but they can laugh about it later.

He turned to Flamerunner, whispering his plan to the other Riverclan cat. Flamerunner agreed and they approached Bluethorn.

"Hey, Blue!" Flamerunner grinned, "I wanna show you something, come with me." He gestured for Bluethorn to follow him.

The black and white warrior led Bluethorn to another part of the lake, hidden by reeds. "Look in there."

Bluethorn tilted his head but poked his head through the reeds, only seeing more water, "I don't see what—"

Dreamstream cut Bluethorn off by pushing the Shadowclan warrior into the water, laughing.

Bluethorn struggled in the water, "Hey!" He yelped, flailing his paws, "Don't sit there and laugh! Help! I'm going to drown!"

Flamerunner and Dreamstream went quiet, only to burst out laughing again. Flamerunner spoke up, "Bluethorn," he paused to laugh, "just stand."

Bluethorn stopped his flailing, and reached for the bottom of the lake, he lifted his body up, finding out that the water only went up to his belly. "Oh." He mumbled.

Dreamstream went over, grinning, "Sorry! That was mean but," he glanced at Flamerunner, "it was kind of funny."

Bluethorn huffed, walking out of the water and starting to dry himself off. "You guys are the meanest Riverclan cats I've ever met!" He hissed.

Flamerunner and Dreamstream exchanged a glance, only to start laughing again. This time, Bluethorn joined in.

For the rest of their visit, the Riverclan warriors taught Bluethorn how to swim and fish, even though the tabby had no use for those skills.

Once the sun was highest in the sky, Flamerunner and Dreamstream started to head back to camp.

Squeezing through the entrance, they were met with the Riverclan leader glaring down at them. Halostar opened his mouth, "I can't believe you didn't bring home any prey! I thought you guys when hunting."

Dreamstream and Flamerunner glanced at each other, and sure enough, they forgot the fish they caught at the lake.
