The new king was walking down the prime path, needing time away from his new responsibilities. Dream said it was okay, so surely no one was getting hurt from him talking a breather.

A cold chill ran down his spine, and George turned around to see a pair of dead, but still curious, eyes staring at him. A smile formed on George's face, "Hey, Wilbur."

The ghost smiled at George, "Hello!" He greeted in a cheery tone. Maybe it was just George, but to hear Wilbur's ghost speak pained him to some extent. Wilbur seemed like he was trying so hard to be happy, but there was always a hint of sadness in that voice of his.

"How are you today?" The shorter asked with a tilt of his head.

"You know, I've actually been doing pretty okay today!" Wilbur said, "I spoke with my son!"

"Oh yeah, and how did that go?"

"Well..." Wilbur trailed off, "he said something about..." he hummed in confusion, "what did he say? No, nevermind. It went well!"

"That's.. good!" George nodded, "Care to join me on this walk?"

Wilbur nodded quickly, "Sure— wait!" He interrupted himself, "I learned a song, would you like to hear?"

George smiled, "Of course!"

Wilbur gestured for George to follow him, and they walked to a hill that overlooked a big, beautiful field. Wilbur sat by a tree where a guitar was laying on the ground, and George joined.

Wilbur picked up his guitar, taking a moment to try and remember the first few notes. As he strummed the strings, making sure they were in tune, he started singing a song.

Barely halfway through the song, Wilbur stopped, "W-wait no.. that's not right." He checked his C chord, singing to himself to see if it sounded right. "That's not.." he mumbled, repeating the process.

George tilted his head, frowning at Wilbur's facial expression, which could be described as distress. "Wil-"

"Don't leave, it's okay, I got it!" He laughed nervously, "Shit." He cursed under his breath as he panicked more, which led to him making more mistakes. "No- I just have to-"

Wilbur went quiet, feeling arms around him. George had pulled Wilbur into a hug, "It's okay, Wil." He said quietly, "I'm not going to leave. Just take a deep breath and try again."

Wilbur nodded, exhaling shakily. He glanced down at his guitar when George let go and then he smiled, "Okay... you know, Quackity taught me this one! He said I taught him but I can't remember." He explained quickly and then started the song from the beginning.

"I heard there was a special place..."
