lastnight i cried myself to sleep, Sav came in and cuddled me, i love her so much.
i showered and made breakfast while Sav was still sleeping, today was pancake day. i sort of made it a tradition to have pancakes every saturday and then the day revolves around her. well everyday does but mainly saturday. a knock at the door pulled me from cooking an i went to answer it, there stood the boys. i almost broke down again, they almost tackled me to the ground and i melted into our group hug. "what are you guys doing here" i say, "visit" ale says, "cap y'all didn't wanna be home when mattia got back" kairi laughs, "and we want to meet Sav" roshaun rolls his eyes, "yeah where is she" alvaro says. "sleeping, don't wake her trust me" i laugh, "she's like her mother" kairi says to them and we all laugh.
the boys helped me make pancakes, which they suck at, they made more of a mess than anything. "can we wake her now" the boys say getting impatient, "she won't care if your her favourite person she's gonna have a fit" i say and they shrug. on cue Sav walked downstairs still half asleep, "mommy who's here" she says, she made it around the corner and her eyes widened, she greeted each of them remembering each of their names, she impresses me everyday.
everyone finished their hugs and shit all happy, the boys fought over her and tried to bribe her into letting them be her favourite uncle, but nobody changed her mind because kairi will forever be her favourite. just as we were about to dig in the doorbell rang, everyone looked around at eachother and i rolled my eyes "i swear to god if that's mattia" i stand and storm to the door. i heard their footsteps follow behind me and i pulled the door open, my eyes widened as i saw that matteo stood there. he had flowers and a gift which was most probably for sav. "what are you doing here" i frown and he's smile dropped as he looked behind me, i follow his gaze and see the boys standing with a purpose. "who are they" he glares, "my brothers" i say and he nods hesitantly looking around at each of them, "matteo" Sav screeched and pushed through the lot of us. she hugged his legs and pulled away, "another present" she smiles and takes it from his hand, she opened it and it was a little dress, so cute. sav disappeared leaving us at the door awkwardly, the boys glared at matteo and i know i'm gonna get bombarded with questions later. "i'll let you guys at it, i'm gonna go see amelia" he says and i nod, before he could walk away sav called him. "what about pancakes" she says and he tried to tell her he had to go but that only made her upset, sometimes sav is a pain in the ass, she pulled him to the table and we all sat and ate.
it was quiet and the boys would throw random questions at him and nod at his answers not really satisfied with them, i know this feeling all to well. every male that wasn't mattia always got the front end of things, they would make them feel so unwelcomed that they'd just leave, only kayden ever survived that . oh shit kayden, he's probably worried and oh fuck. i stood abruptly making everyone look at me, "what's wrong" they ask, "someone ring kayden, i haven't seen him in so long and how is he, does he know i'm okay, does he know about sav and why isnt he here with y'all, kairi ring him" i blurted out. kairi went to make the phone call and matteo only just frowned, "who's kayden" he frowns, "oh my other brother" i say and he scoffs. he stood and left slamming the door behind him, and that's when all the questions started.
sav went to her room to play with her dolls because the boys will probably only get louder, i never missed this. the door bell rang again saving me from these fuckheads, i raced to answer it lowkey hoping it was matteo so i could apologise. when i opened the door i was wrong, mattia stood there eyes red and puffy, knuckles bruised and covered in dry brown blood. he had a little cut on his cheek and his hair was messy, he came closer to me and he reeked of alcohol. "who is it" the boys shouted, his attention flicked to the sound of their voices and nodded his head "oh okay i see how it is" he laughs. my heart clenched at the sight of him and the words he just spoke, he sounded so broken.
i couldn't shut the door on him not while he was like this, so the dumbass i am brought him inside, even though he tried to push me away i didn't let him. kayden will be in tonight so why not, sav can finally get to know her family. yes i know i tried my hardest to keep mattia away it's just not fair on the both of them and i'm just being selfish if i was to carry on with my stubbornness.
