"so when did you get these" i say pointing to all the tattoos on him, he started explaining and i sort of zoned out to his voice. "and yeah" he finishes and looks over to me "did you even hear what i said" he laughed, i shook my head and he rolled his eyes.
we pulled up to the store and we went in, "you get the test and i'll get the food" i say, "why me your the pregnant one" he says, "because i know what food to get, surely you know what test to get" i say making him roll his eyes, we split and i got a bunch of snacks and met him at the cash register.
the lady scanned our stuff and she kept looking mattia up and down, i chuckled to myself gotta miss all the flirty girls. "what's funny" he says, "nothing" i shrug, "so you the baby daddy" the lady asks mattia but before he answered with some stupid shit i did. "no he's my brother" i say and mattia put his hand over his heart and acted hurt. "oh" she says. "i'll pay" i say, but mattia stopped me "come on bruh you know i got more money than you" he says, "you calling me poor" i say and "yeah" he says.
we got our stuff and the girl stopped me,"can you give this to your brother" she says handing me a paper with her socials and number, i nodded and caught upto mattia.
"what did she want" he asked, "here" i say handing him the paper, "nah i'm good" he says, "bro here she's in love with you" i say messing with him, he rolled his eyes "imma wait" he says and i looked at him confused what's he waiting for.
"so why did you ask me to come to the store" mattia says, "because jason said to hear you out" i shrug, "oh yeah" he says. "so what happened to you" i ask, "sort of don't wanna talk about it" he says, his whole expression changed and i didn't know if i should force it out of him or let him be. "yeah, anyway what you naming the kid" he says i hit his arm, "i don't even know if i'm pregnant slow down" i say making him laugh.
we pulled up at home and headed inside with our stuff, everyone looked at us and i took all the snacks to my room.
i sat on my bed with my snacks and the test just sitting in front of me, i stared at the test and crossed my fingers hoping i wasn't pregnant. don't get me wrong i wanted a kid with jason, but now things are just complicated. no i didn't pee on it yet i'm just procrastinating.
my door opened and maddie stood there,mattia told her i i might be pregnant. "where's jason" i ask her and she says he's downstairs. "have you taken the test yet" she asks and i shook my head, "well what you doing get yo ass up i wanna niece please" she crosses her fingers and i slap her arm. "baby" i heard jason shout from downstairs, maddie rolled her eyes "take the test fuck him" she says and i laughed "come on i'll do it later" i say.
we went downstairs and jason was messing around with the other boys, and mattia sat outside by the pool. "what's up" i say to jason and he walks over to me and kisses my cheek, "how was your day" he asks and i shrug "boring really, how was yours" i ask before looking out to see mattia splashing the water with his feet, jason followed my eyes and sighed, "see if he's okay" jason says to me, i look at him and shake my head "nah he's fine" i shrug, "go dork" he says ruffling my hair, i felt bad but i kissed his cheek before going out.
i plopped next to him and he looked at me confused, "what's up with you" i say shouldering him, "nothing i'm chilling" he says, "mhm" i hum and stares at me and tilts his head like he's trying to figure me out. "i don't get it" he says, i turnt back and everyone was running upstairs. i face back to mattia "get what" i say, "how jason got everything in the span of three years" he says. i furrowed my eyebrows, "like what" i say, "well he got made don not long after i "died",took my friends, my parents took him in totally forgetting about me and even got YOU" he says instantly making me feel terrible,because what he said was true sort of. "i'm sorry mattia, no one forgot about you though just everyone learned to move on" i shrug, "but you moved on too fast, i'm starting to think YOU never loved me" he says turning this on me. i roll my eyes, "mattia i didn't move on fast" i say, "5months is pretty fast" he shrugs, "how would you know mattia, you weren't even here" i say getting irritated, "but i was, i had just gotten back into town and the first place i visit was home my heart broke when i saw you run out the house crying. i followed you and you had no idea, i watched as you cried over the bridge debating if you should jump. i was ready to come comfort you when jason pulled up, i waited and waited till he left but instead y'all fucked" he says as a tear slid down his cheek, "i-" he cut me off "don't worry about it though, i never should have came back, maybe i should have died" he shrugged, my eyes started watering up and i didn't know what to say, "i'm sorry" i say before going up to my room which had a balcony that over looked the pool, guess who was standing on it listening to the whole conversation, jason.
