There is a library in Popsicle Development on the edge of the development that existed.
Berry noticed the library and quickly snuck in along with Chase.
"Hey, I always wanted to take you to a library. Don't think that it means something."
Berry smiled at the librarian and then pushed a button to an elevator that went down to a basement floor, she and Chase stepped out and they went to the empty lounge like room with books on every wall possible.
In a wall of books, Berry picked up a book and skimmed through it. She tsked after reading it.
"Fake history, not the real thing. I'm not surprised, I'm probably only used to having all sorts of history books in my library."
She then picked a book from a different bookshelf and started to read it.
"You know, writers in Candyland are very unique and they do deserve more appreciation. Some of their stories are absolutely award winning, and so so full of seriousness and detailed descriptions of everything in the history of thoughts and ideas."
"What's your book called?" Chase looked over at Berry's shoulder.
"Lost."
"Oh, wow. Mine is called "Sourdough". It seems to be about an ex boyfriend that still lives with his ex girlfriend and her new boyfriend. Sounds like a typical chick flick."
Berry read the description.
"They are lost.
They are worried.
Lost in a world where the world crumbles beneath their feet.
Will you join the lost kids of the lostworld?"She skimmed through the book and then looked at Chase, who seemed to be interested in his book.
That's when she looked out of the window and started talking to herself.
"Growing up with a sister, you would have thought that we would be close together and the sisters that can't leave their sides for years. However, the truth was not that for my life. Ever since we were born, we were assigned to a favorite parent that raised us in two different ways and now, we're two different people. Mom raised me differently than my dad with Taffy. When mother taught me how to be smart and learn off of others, become street smart and book smart, while being true to your morals. Dad taught Taffy how to be cunning, charming, and how to be the perfect pretty pink princess that I can't stand."
"I wish I could have saved Taffy. Even if it might seem that I hate her, I can't hurt my own sister, we were born together, from the same womb to the same mother. We're two totally different people, but yet, we were born together. I was born the older twin and the more mature one, which can make sense since Taffy is an airhead and a major idiot. I still love her, but one question runs across my mind sometimes. What could I have done to save Taffy? By now, she's married and she has a husband, so it's probably way too late to do anything. At a young age and married illegally, and my father met her do all of these things."
"What would her life be like if she was with my mother and I was with my father. Would I be the princess in the world? Or, would she still be the same Taffy over and over? I don't get it."
"Dear Taffy, I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you how dangerous dad was and is to you. If it wasn't for all of the bad things that he did to you and me, then maybe we would have a good sibling relationship. I'm sorry that the world was against us and as we grew up, we grew apart. What we had was nothing and what we shared was very little. I think about you every night before you go to bed. I hate that you act like this, but that's because I believed that people can't change when they are at their worst. But, maybe you might change. Maybe, not now but maybe later in life, when I leave Candyland, you'll see that you are the one that is unfortunately living in a lie. When life lets us be sisters again, I will welcome you with loving arms."
Chase tapped Berry's shoulder.
"Hey, are you ok?"
"Yes, I was just thinking about Taffy. I know I never talk about her much, but she's somebody that I care about. She's ruined, damaged, she's forced to be this pretty pink princess doll that my dad was to toy around with and make him live the princess life that I loathe. I can't blame just my father, my sister also let her myself mold into this person that I hate, the stupid and ditzy type that thinks that they know nothing and only knows about their looks and the people that they love. When she becomes the next ruler of Candyland, I will be even more worried for Candyland hand when my dad started to rule over Candyland."
"What happens if you see her again? It seems kind of like the world in the castle walls was very tense."
"All I can do is say hello and give respect. I have no say in her decisions, but I feel like she's going to make some terrible terrible decisions. She cares about people, yes. But, instead of signing a rule that all homeless people get a house, she would sign a trade rule into play. Why? Because my father and Prince Dashing will be watching from her shoulder, telling her what and what not to do. And honestly, Taffy is very gullible. And airheadded, and stupid. I wish I could give her parts of my brain to her because I know that she's smart, but it's just that she not allowed to be smart. You know, I would move boulders for the people that I care about, but all they do is find me scary. I mean well, I mean it. I would kill Myself to give somebody another chance to be a different person.
