LXXXVII: Cotton Candy Cave II

"We past the first part of our very challenging journey."

"That was not that bad."

Berry rolled her eyes.

"You could say that it's the least intense, but now, we're walking onto more dangerous territory. Hope you remember how to use multiple combat skills because this is where it turns into now or never."

"Bold of you to assume."

"Chase, I know these kinds of things, so you have the audacity to call me a dumbass? Right, I should probably be calling YOU that."

The ground started to rumble under their feet, the shakes slowly started to get more and more intense.

"Uh oh." Berry mumbled.

"GARAWAAAAAAAR!"

Chase and berry turned around, there was a dark pewter colored monster that had the shape of a raptor dinosaur, with ten eyes and pulsating heartbeats nearly everywhere.

"Is that-"

"No time to talk! Let's fight!"

Berry sprung up and started to throw hundreds of knives at the monster. Chase followed suit.

"What is this monster?!"

"The Brockmicster. A monster with 10,000 hearts, it won't die until you hit every heart."

"10,000 hearts! But that's impossible! How could it be?"

"It does have a weakness though."

"What?"

"Watch this." Berry started to form 10,000 knives with her magic and they all formed a circle around the monster, with a snap of her fingers, the knives jabbed into the monster, revealing a bloody scene of the demise of the monster, the loud crackling sound accompanied with a small explosion caused the monster to fall.

"Oh, we're far from done here." Berry dropped to the floor. "There will be many more monsters to fight, so don't get too comfortable here." Chase dropped as well and Berry started to sprint, holding a knife in her hand.

It wasn't too long until the next grumbling sound of a monster appeared, this time, it was much more smaller, but it had 7 sets of teeth.

"Just kill it!" Berry dashed into the monster and with a quick stab, the monster started to get set on fire, it screamed a bloody cry before it fell into the ground and turned into slush. Chase could barely move, he just stood there in awe.

"Oh, guess you're going to make me do everything on this journey, huh?"

"NO! You're just too fast and your reflexes are better than mine will ever be."

Berry sighed and quickly parted away the messy bangs in her face.

"Ok, fine, the next monster is all yours, I won't help you, but you have to act fast, even the tiniest millisecond of missed chance, that's more of a chance that the monster will either seriously hurt you or kill you, and you know I don't want either of that to happen to you."

"Don't worry, I got this!"

"Oh, don't let the confidence get to you, you can't just say what you are going to do, you have to do what you want to do, how many kings have died while slaying that weak dragon because they held their sword in the air and acted all dramatic? Hundreds, in real life and in fantasy stores. Yes, your actions define you, but at the end of the day, nobody would care that you did a little dance with your sword before fighting the dragon. They want to see you fight that dragon, and kill it in one shot."

Another monster came into view, it was a giant purple monster, that had the head of a rat and the body of a combination of a bear and a gorilla, it's call was surprisingly high pitched.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Chase screeched.

Berry laughed.

"Well, it's all you from here."

"WHAT?"

"Fine, I'll give you a hint, you have to use a certain spell, but you might get seriously hurt if you use this spell."

"Just say it, i think I'm about to die." Chase was a nervous wreck and was trembling as if he had seen a ghost.

"Heartbreaker's Lament. It will kill a monster that is full of life, but the recoil is pretty serious and the injuries are not fun to deal with."

But by the time that Berry said the spell, Chase ignored her and the words that she said beforehand and started to chant the words, but his words soon turned into a song that he had no control over.

"A heart colder than ice, a heart as black as night, a heart that drips blood, a heart from hell. The heart full of cracks, breaks innocent hearts in a flash, a mystery in a crash."

Chase started to emit a black and red string of sharp edges that stabbed the monster, eventually killing it, but the second that it hit, Chase started to fall backwards.

"CHASE!" Berry caught Chase before he hit the ground.

His eyes did not open for a few minutes.

"FUCK!" Berry started to use healing spells, but nothing was working.

"How stupid could I be? Healing spells won't cure a wizards fatigue. But, it's not safe to be out cold like this out in the open. I seriously have to drag you, to the edge." Berry started to drag Chase to the wall of one of the sections of the cave.

"Whatever you do, please please please don't wake up." Berry quickly kissed his hand before dashing out into a cave to kill a monster.

However, there were more monsters than usual, and it was enough for two people to do. Berry used technique after technique to kill the monsters, and then she realized, that they were all common clones, and there was some sort of magical cloning machine or spell that was spawning all of these monsters. While all of the monsters were piling up and the load was getting hard for her to handle, for the first time, Berry just decided to give up and get Chase.

Chase opened his eyes and instantly realized that Berry was gone. By then, the monsters were starting to come out of a hidden passage, and Berry was running on top of them.

"Hurry up and move, you idiot!"

Berry jumped off of the monsters and grabbed Chase's hands, that when she gave a look to him and they faced the monsters.

"Explodera Caramell!" Berry and Chase said in unison.

A caramel waterfall came out of nowhere and all of the monsters were swept away.
