Berry and Chase started taking their first steps into the tunnel, and as soon as they were a safe distance away, the door slammed behind their backs. Chase took out a flashlight and Berry held a lantern.
"Are you sure that this is ok to do?"
"I've done this before and you never know what could happen."
When Berry noticed Chase was going behind her and being the back shield.
"You're cute for being so small and good."
"You're saying that like I'm a baby or a puppy."
"Puppies are cuter anyways. I'm surprised that you never take the lead."
"Well, one, I don't know this place unlike you and two, you're basically fearless."
"I have fears too, you know. You Don't have to think of me as somebody superior."
"You give off the feel everytime that you walk into the room, like you take all of the attention."
"My father would be so proud but THANK GOD I'm not as conceited and narcissistic as he is. God, he's terrible."
"How so?"
There was suddenly a large shaking sound coming from behind them.
"Who's there?"
"Shut the fuck up." Berry loudly whispered. "Talking loudly will get us seen."
"Are their bodyguards or something like that?"
"No, the underground areas are known for having extinct creatures roam around the bends. That's when earthquakes can happen and there has been an incident or two where somebody may or may not have been taken by a monster."
"How do you combat these monsters?"
"Guns don't work on them. They are physical, but pain to them is transparent. This is a case of something only I can do."
"But, what about me? I need to help too! I didn't just come on this adventure to just find my way home! I want to help you!"
Berry smirked.
"You're actually kind of sweet for saying that. But, these monsters are nothing. I just need to use death spells on them."
"But don't the death spells cause you to recoil and lose energy?"
"Guess somebody has been taking notes, I see."
"No, there was this one time where you did a spell and the person died and then you fainted."
"I forgot to mention, not all spells have that effect. Well, you're lucky if you get recoil. It's rare, very rare."
The shaking sound came back again, and Berry got ready.
"Whatever you do, don't wait up for me. Run. That's all you can do."
"But, Berry."
"I SAID RUN!"
Chase started running away while Berry turned her back to see what monster was coming up. It looked like a dinosaur only it was maturated and it smelled like burning rubber.
The creature lashed out at Berry, but she ducked and rolled away before it could hit her.
"Very funny, you Damseldistressorus."
Berry rolled her hands together, her eyes were glowing black.
"URIELDON HASAFRESA!"
Fireworks came from the sky and they exploded onto the dinosaur. Before they could hit, Berry shielded herself and watched as the fireworks hit the dinosaur and he slowly melted into nothing.
Once that was done, Berry ran back to Chase, who was watching everything from a mile or so away.
"What the hell was going on there? We're you having a fireworks show or something with that thing?"
"You're right on the fireworks. Come on, let's go!"
Berry signaled Chase to run with her and they ran until Chase fell and bumped into another giant creature.
"Stand BACK!" Berry pushed Chase out of the way and prepared another spell.
"SUFFER THE PAIN OF MY ANCESTORS! SUTPOMA!"
The recoil was intense as Berry flew back a distance, and the tunnel with all of the metal in it was ruined. That's when it started to flood.
"FUCK! COME ON, CHASE!"
Berry darted and grabbed Chase by the hand and they sprinted for the exit.
There were even more monsters, but Berry used her right eye to cast spells and the monsters fell down like dominos.
After about a mile or two of running, they finally reached the end, where there was a large safe door. Chase started to attempt to open the Safe, but it wasn't working. By now, the water has reached to their thighs, and every movement seemed to be slower than the next one.
"Come on! Come on! Work! Work!"
He turned it left and right and a hundred other different ways, but nothing that he thought of could work.
"Fucking idiot. Here, let me try."
Berry shoved him out of the way and attempted to try and turn the safe. She first tried to use the same method that Chase did, but then she realized something.
"Wait a second, this is blocked by magic."
"How can you tell?"
"When you touched the Safe door, did it give you a shock?"
"It was very little, but I think it did."
"That's how you can tell that it's blocked by magic. Judging by this door, it hasn't been opened for years."
"But, didn't that man tell you that you did this before?"
Berry sighed.
"I teleported along with the human that I was with. We didn't believe this guy, so we teleported. I know where this goes, and believe me. It's no big surprise to anybody. Nowhere surprising, but nowhere exiting."
"Are we going back to the surface?"
"Yeah. We are. But, fuck! Ow! Someplace more."
The water was rising higher and higher. Chase became paranoid.
"HURRY UP, BERRY!"
"I'M FUCKING TRYING!"
Berry started to use spells, and she tried every spell, but nothing would happen.
"Hold it for a second. Put your hands on the wheel and repeat after me. I think that this will work."
Chase put his hands on the wheel and so did Berry.
"1. 2. 3."
"CERIBANA POR ALLIQUE! Release the magic from this lock so that we can see another day!"
The door broke as it crumbled to pieces. Chase and Berry ran into a room covered in white light, and an invisible gas caused them to cough and then pass out on the floor.
"Liquid Diamond." Berry looked around before she passed out.
