"Put it all in."

Everybody gasped at Berry's sudden words as she just started the game and already wanted to put everything in.

"Berry, what are you doing?"

"What do I have to lose in a moneyless society? Nothing. This world is mine and I know how to play the game of life."

She turned back to the table and flicked her cinnamon stick around.

"Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

"Well said, everybody! Flip your cards over!"

Berry revealed her cards and everybody gasped.

"What? Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I don't know how to play. Anyways, it was nice playing with you all, but I'm on a date with a special somebody. See you all later."

She wrapped her arm around Chase and they left the table.

"What was that?"

"It's called tricking them. Ever heard of it?"

"Not that kind of tricking. Making such a dumb move and then faking them out. When I can't attack physically, I use the powers of genius and idiot to make this combination. Sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do."

"Now where are we going?"

Berry opened a set of double doors.

"Ever went to a club?"

Berry stripped her coat and then threw it onto a random stranger that sniffed it and fell to the ground.

"Fucking simp head." She yelled at then looked at Chase.

Berry was wearing a short, tight, dark blue spaghetti strap dress with a little bit of sparkle on it.

"I know, it's a lot to take on your eyes. I get it, I can be good looking. But, if anybody asks, you're my boyfriend."

She winked and left him to dance on the dance floor with some random dudes.

While on the sidelines, Chase was getting jealous. The way that Berry said that in a worst case scenario that they were a couple, Berry danced like a girl that had a shot for confidence. Her moves were so sensual for some strange reason. As if nobody was watching.

That's when a man started to try and push Berry to the wall. Instead, she pushed him and kicked him into a table.

"Chase baby! Come here!"

Chase followed and he wrapped his arm around Berry, while Berry was the one doing all of the talking.

"Let's tell this stupid idiot of an asshole to leave me alone. You sucked at dancing anyways, and you were not attractive at all. Come on baby, let's go closer to the DJ. That's where the REAL dancers are."

They walked for about a few feet.

"What was that for? With you, you could have any person in this club, anybody. But, yet, the human is the one that you're with. Why?"

"I can be selfish but you're lonely without me. So, of course I'll go with you. One reason is that you would not survive without me by your side. Another reason is that the girls here are very air headed and stupid. You would rot just by hearing them open their mouths."

"You hate women?"

"Women are fucking awesome. Just not here. You know, I read so much about women from your world and all of the things that they did. How some were inventors and warriors and straight up bad bitches. Here, the closest thing that we had was my mother or my grandmother. And, that wasn't even a lot."

"You're talking about empowering women in a club?"

"You hear sob stories from buzzed people, this is nothing. Imagine if it gets political."

"How would it get political?"

"I'm talking about your world. I hear politics drives dads up a wall. My world? It's the king and whoop de do, most of the talk is positive about him. Maybe because people are scared that he will find out. Remember, spies!"

By then, they music was blasting and Berry was dancing while Chase was awkwardly trying to move, Berry went full force on her moves while Chase just swung side to side and front to back.

"I mean, you're a little stiff but that's ok, you never danced with a girl before."

Chase averted his eyes.

"And you have?"

"Well, yeah. But, it's always been formal dances, which I cannot stand."

Chase laughed.

The song changed to a song that Chase knew from a memory. Then, he remembered the dance as the music started. In that moment, he let all of his emotions take over and he started to dance the dance that he knew from the song.

That's when Berry looked at him, disgusted and confused.

"I'm looking for Mrs. Bubblegum, I'm mister cheekoskeek. I wanna da da da oh! Cuz you so thick."

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I'M DOING A TIK TOK DANCE!"

"I don't know what the fuck a tik tok is but it sounds like something that rots your brain."

"Ok boomer."

Berry rolled her eyes.

"Moments like these make me miss the quiet Chase. The one that was a different kind of idiotic, like stupid idiot not weird idiot. What in the name of the holy circus is this?"

"Ever had fun?"

"No, I dance to look seductive, not to have fun."

"You never have fun."

"Take those words back!"

That's when Berry let all of her emotions out and punched Chase right in the head, or at least that's what she wanted to do.

Chase countered her punch, but Berry grabbed him by the ear.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow! Let me go!"

"No, we're leaving."

They stepped out of the dance floor and out of the club as well as the whole building. Once they were out, Berry let go of his ear and then, they just walked out of the city.

"You know, bringing me there was pretty useless."

"You know, you're useless at times."

And they were silent, not speaking or even exchanging a glance to each other.

"Is this how you want it to be? Then, so be it because this is why I don't care."
