It was the middle of the night when Chase and Berry were walking around the halls at night. Berry held a lantern through the dim halls as Chase hung near the walls.

"Why are we doing these?"

"The real reason that nobody ever comes to these estates is because the ghost of Sugar haunts the whole estate and every single house. I just want to find her statue, which has her soul in it."

"How do you know that?"

"That last time I was here, I almost found her statue, but a bodyguard found me and then I was kicked out. This was like two years ago."

"I never thought you were fail at something like that."

"It's not my fault that the bodyguard was in the halls. But after that incident, it seems that nobody is here anymore. Like they all disappeared."

"You basically said Sugar was a whore in everybody's eyes. They blamed her instead of the guy."

"It was kind of her fault for letting her bang each other."

"Why would you say something like that?"

"Because I can." She giggled and they turned down a hall to where a light was leading them.

"Are you sure this is the right way?"

"I always knew the way, even when I was almost there. Look, for now, I'll hold your hand."

Berry held Chase's hand tightly.

"I'm not losing you in this estate. You have a home to get you."

"Times like these, you are so sweet."

Berry slapped him lightly.

"Don't call me sweet."

"Ok, fine whatever. I was just trying to compliment you."

"Whatever."

Berry opened a set of triple doors and found a staircase.

"This is the way. Just please, make your steps quiet, the ghosts could possibly hear us."

"That is fine by me."

Quietly, they walked up the stairs, suddenly, there was fog all around them. A smell of burning ashes surrounded their noses.

"I can feel her presence, we're approaching her. Stay by my side and nothing will go wrong."

"I got you."

The staircase seemed to go on forever, and with every step, a piano melody could be heard. But, the piano was very off, and as if it didn't fit and flow well.

"This is strange. Why am I nervous? This doesn't feel right at all."

"Berry, I know of you're scared, then that means that something is off. Really off."

SMASH!

A glass broke in the distance.

"W-w-wha-what was that?" Berry shivered.

Chase nearly screamed but covered his mouth.

They finally reached the top of the staircase and found a statue of a person there. Berry walked straight up to the statue and bowed down to it.

"Princess Sugar of Candyland. A visitor has arrived for you."

She stepped back and took Chase back with her.

The statue started to shake over and over again and the very dim lights and candles fade to nothing.

Rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrr rrrrr rrrrr.

A weird shaking noise just like the sound of rocks falling in a cave.

That's when a ghost came out of the statue and showed herself.

"Who dare speak with me? Princess Sugar of Candyland?"

Berry bowed down and took Chase down with her.

"We are visitors from the generation after the current ruler, your highness." Berry had an offness in her voice as if it was suddenly so shaky.

The ghost looked at the two of them.

"Show your faces."

Berry got up and showed her face.

"Your Highness, it is I, your granddaughter, Princess Berry of Candyland. Daughter to former Queen Marissa and current ruler: King Butterscotch."

The ghost gave a scream.

"That monster of a man is still alive? And he had children?"

"Unfortunately."

"And you, why is he your father?"

"I wish he wasn't!"

The ghost paused for a moment.

"Are you fucking serious? That man has probably forced so many wrong morals into that tiny brain of yours that you don't even know what's right or wrong. I mean, he should've been executed along with the rest of the blood line because of him!"

"Grandmother..."

"Don't call me grandmother. You, you, MONSTER OF A CHILD!"

"Grandmother, I'm not like my father! I know what he did! I know that he hurts people! My father's intentions have nothing to do with me! There are only so many things that I can and cannot do with him in power!"

"I don't want to hear about your stupid father! Yeah, being born to him is bad enough, but imagine being called a prostitute when your great aunt had a loveless marriage and her husband decided that I was the best to have the babies with!"

Berry clenched her fist so tight that her knuckles turned Snow White.

"All I wanted to do was meet you, and I get yelled at for being born to my father? Do you know what I went through my whole life? Like, yeah, you suffered. But, you lived a rewarding life and until your last few years, it was bad. What about me? What about Queen Marissa of Queen Margarette of all of your children that lost their lives to my father? I didn't want this to happen, I did not! Not one bit!"

The ghost only went around Berry.

"You say that you're this strong girl that can do it when you can't. You think that you can do everything when you can't. I wonder, why am I related to such a disgrace like you. If it was my choice, I would disown you from our family tree simply because of how you dress and how you act, it's so fucking disgusting."

Berry's eyes swelled up with tears.

"You know something? I never wanted to be a candison at all! Or a princess! Why would I want to be part of this family? I only want my mother!"

The ghost soon screamed at Berry and the magic that the ghost had started to turn the room into different dimensions and soon, the place that they were in was no more.
