Chase and Berry got kicked out of the factories and now, the way that their journey was takin them, it seemed to be going to the north east point of Candyland, and every step somebody took, it only got colder and colder.

The northwest section of Candyland, how cold it can get. Really. And desolate, nobody for what seems like miles.

"Well, I guess we're finally in the Rocky Road Tundra. Great." Berry said with fake excitement.

"There has to be something here. Something. Anything!"

Berry stomped on the ground.

"Nope, the ground is permanently frozen. There's nothing that I can do about it."

"We're really in the tundra now?"

"Look around you. Nothing for long stretches of land. Not even people."

"But, people do live here, right?"

"They do, but they all live right by the factories. For now, all we can do is walk. Walk this empty ground with an empty heart and hope for the best. Because at this rate, we're going to be constantly traveling and experiencing many different kinds of places and landmarks, so this is just a pass by place. Nothing special here, other than the same old rocky road that everybody normally knows."

"Oh, ok. I get it."

Berry and Chase just stayed quiet for step after step. All of everything around them was just boring, but nothing can be done to pass the time.

In this moment, they realized that they could think about the other but in secret. For now, this is how everything had to be. All in secret, to hide from the other if they ask a simple question.

Of course, it's cliche that the coincidence of them liking each other is overused, but this is not just another story to read and put back because it's boring. Oops, I'm talking too much. Anyways, let's get back to the story.

"Berry."

"What's up?" Berry turned her head around to Chase and started walking in reverse.

"Does it snow in tundras? I never actually been in a tundra before, so I don't know."

Berry sighed.

"Think of a tundra as a cold desert. Deserts normally don't get any rain at all, but the only difference is that deserts have Sandy grounds while tundras have frozen ground. Look below your feet. Look at the color of the ground."

The ground is normally supposed to be pink, but years of cold temperatures have turned the ground into a grey with a hint of pink here and there.

"On the topic of the northeast, it is called the "world of no color." The reason why is that years of cold and frigid temperatures have caused the ground to turn into snow and ice and even the world to turn dead and lifeless. The dead stereotype is only with the Pocky people. But, doesn't the world around you seem dead? Like, it could be only us. But, I know that there are other people around, just not in our viewpoint. People that can hear us walking, talking and even breathing."

"So... it's true. Areas of nothingness do exist. I thought it was only something that never existed in a world like this."

Berry put her hand on Chase's shoulder.

"In this world, many things coexist with the things that shouldn't exist. A world full of life and what was supposed to be a place for people of all walks of life to come together to live together in harmony although they are apart. But, the more that you see it, the more that every candison is basically torn apart. Not one person's life is the same as another from another town over."

Suddenly, snowflakes started falling down.

"Well, this is rare. It normally doesn't snow in a tundra. How funny. Or does it? Ugh, I don't know!"

"I can't help you either since I've never been in a tundra."

"Of course you're no help."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

Berry turned away and held her arms clenched to her as they were folded. Behind her bitchy poker face, she cracked a smirk. Of course he was an idiot, but sometimes idiots can be kind of lovable. Key word, lovable. They're not too much of the same person.

Chase also had a little red on his cheeks.

The feelings that they had were mutual, and they were obvious crushing on each other. The classic one that is more dominant and loud while the other is more submissive and passive. Who said that the roles could not be switched?

There was a sign that read "The End is near" and pointed only upwards.

"Oh, don't be fooled. This sign only says that we are almost at our next destination. Finally! I hate this tundra, I'm just going to say it here for the world to hear."

"Me too. But what about the tundra people?"

"Truthfully, most of them only want a house so that they don't want to be homeless. I mean, you and your family can live in the middle of nowhere, and they could just get stuff from Pocky factories and if worst comes to worst, most of them are by the water so they can go to another land."

Chase looked out into the distance.

"What is beyond these borders and this place? Other places with different people and different lives?"

Berry shrugged.

"It's been years since the bridges were destroyed. Years. Even I wish I could go to the other side, but I can't."

"What is limiting you from doing whatever that you want? You have the power to, but why can't you do what you want?"

Berry held her hand.

"You really want to know why? Because, I believe in love. I believe that if I have to leave, then I'm taking somebody with me. Because mv yes, I'm smart, but I need a human that I develop a bond with that I can take back home with them. All I want to do is go to a place where I can be truly myself. At this rate, I'm not doing it for my mother, I'm doing all of this for me.... and for you as well."

She held Chase's hand.

"We're in this together, ok?"
