There was a faint hum in the middle of the night, almost like somebody singing. Chase woke up in their house in Licorice City and decided to investigate what was making that noise.

In the kitchen, there was Berry, who was writing something while singing to a song.

"You make me feel special."

Chase's footsteps echoed through the room, scaring Berry, Chase was only a foot away from Berry.

"GET AWAY!"

She was holding a pencil that turned into a magic staff and hit Chase in the shoulder. When she hit him, there was the sound of a clock ringing and the world starting to go back with rainbow stars all over again.

"Wha-what is happening?" Berry worried. Her eyes trailed off to many different areas, scared and anxious.

Winds blow past them like bullets to the air, they're still standing but the wind is blowing harder and faster.

Eventually, Berry gets thrown into Chase and Berry lets go of the staff which breaks a part of the rainbow stars and light seems to come out. It engulfs everyone and everything in that moment and they could only close their eyes.

Berry finally woke up on top of Chase and she looked around. The sky was full of clouds and there was green grass everywhere. She picked herself up and looked around.

"Why do I have the feeling that I've been here before?"

"Are you lost?" A voice said from behind her.

She screamed and looked at the voice. There was a hooded person who took their head off to reveal long white hair, gentle features, and a smile.

"And who are you?" She asked softly.

"Wait, can you tell me who you are first?" Berry asked politely.

"Oh, me? Well, I'm sure that you have heard of the sages, the ones that used to dominate Candyland. Well, they killed all but one, because I used a cloning spell. I have lived in exile for years, because I have a fear of the Candisons, but you found my secret place. How?"

"I Don't know, miss."

She giggled.

"Was it the boy over there?"

"I don't know. He's a human."

"And you are mixed."

"I thought that only people from Candyland can learn magic."

The woman giggled.

"Nonsense. As long as you hold a spell book in your possession, anybody, human or alien can learn how to do magic! The myth was only created by the king who didn't want magic to be assessable to all!"

Berry nodded.

"However, only sages can read minds and create alternate dimensions. Everybody that learns magic starts with the little spells."

She focused on something by closing her eyes.

"I see.... the human learned some magic."

By that time, Chase was up, Berry shot around and death glared at Chase.

"Chase, what did you do?"

"I didn't do anything!"

"Well, he probably just learned his powers, and that could mean that they could pop up out of nowhere. From your point view, his fingertips were ringing with magic. Your pencil turned into a staff, and if you didn't break the funnel, then you would be in that wind dimension forever."

"I'm so sorry, it's just that him over there can be an idiot. The amount of times he's done stupid things are crazy."

"You can at least go easy on him, considering the fact that you are a princess."

"How do you-... oh.... you can read minds."

"Princess Berry of Candyland, also known by her human name as Vanessa O'Leary. You are the opposite of your father, and you hope to avenge for your human mother. But, is that all that you want in life?"

Berry shrugged.

"Who knows?"

"It seems like your mind is cloudy, like you want something but you can't have it or something is pulling you back. Considering your personality, this normally shouldn't be the case."

"They're only called dreams that I remember, in short, they are nothing special."

"You want something, Berry. Something is holding you back."

"I want to get out of this place! I want to see my mother again!"

"But, there's more. The thing that you most want might be in front of you."

"What are you saying?"

"You're too obvious, Berry. You never change."

"How do you know that? Besides the mind reading?"

"Remember when the last of the sages were being captured? You were 4 when you saw my clone go in for me. I saw your anger, your pain, and your pure confusion. You have millions of emotions and thoughts that you try to hide. You want to be like your mother because that's the only person that you ever had, your only friend. The feelings of hatred around your family were always there, but they blew up when your mother left. That was your turning point in life."

"I know that."

"The way you vent out your frustration is interesting. You're either angry or sad, but you can be both. It starts off as anger, and then melts into sadness. You may or may not have anger issues."

"Please get to the point."

"Fine. What is it that you really want? What would you wish for if you have one wish?" The woman put her hood back on and fog started to form all around them, it engulfed the whole world except Chase and Berry. Berry ran to Chase and they hugged each other.

Bright light engulfed them again and within a minute, they were back in the comfort of their own home. They let go of each other and Berry tensed up.

"What did she say about you wanting something?"

"She was clearly delusional. I don't know what she wanted. I'm tired, I'm going to bed."

She walked away and walked up the stairs.

SLAM!

A door shut.

Chase stood there, confused as could be. He wondered as well why Berry was suddenly tense.

"GOOD NIGHT!" He shouted before going to his bedroom, shutting the door and laying on his bed, listening to the sounds of the city.
