"Why would you do that?"

"What? You're jealous?"

A day later, Chase and Berry were in a bedroom in a mansion in the Sweet Estates. All Chase could see was Berry kissing that man like a fool.

"Why would you kiss somebody like that? You kissed them like you loved them."

"Once again, are you jealous?"

"No, like you say, I don't want to see you get hurt."

"I appreciate that you care for me. But this is a dangerous game. And you either take risks and play the victim or be blamed and then expect the worst. This world teaches you people skills."

"No wonder you're so versatile."

"Will being versatile get me anywhere in your world when I come?"

"You could make a name out of yourself, but people would see you as two faced."

"I've been called two faced so many times that it doesn't faze me anymore. Anyways, go to bed you idiot. We have a big day or two depending on how things go."

She went to the other bed in the room that was facing the opposite side of him, and jumped into the covers.

The night went by fast.

"Yoo-hoo! We're about to miss breakfast!"

"Is it that time already?"

"I'm saying one thing to you, breakfast is one of the prime times, you can either do there and make yourself a legend in the room or ignore the breakfast and be known as a mystery."

"For not being from here, you know quite a lot."

"I'm a royal. The settings are just a little different."

Chase was so tired that he didn't fully notice Berry was nearly laying on his chest, only a blanket was covering. He got red.

"Why are you even on me like that?"

"Awww, you're cute when your flustered."

Chase got out of bed.

"I should be saying to you."

Berry tackled him back on the bed, where she was on top of him again.

"Boys like you are the type of boys that think girls cannot be the dominant one. Girls came be whatever they can be. Think of us as shapeshifters, only pretty and charming."

"Like that will win me over." Chase looked away.

"You're such a bottom, it's cute."

"N-n-o it's not."

"It's ok, you can say it."

"No." He pushed Berry away.

"You know? I wasn't too hungry. I wanted to have you for breakfast." Berry said like a curious child.

"Not now. No, you said that we have to go down there. Maybe later, but not now."

"You're saying that we should?"

"Not now. You're bad, Berry. So bad."

She giggled.

"Ok fine. Since you want to go and I'm nice, I'll let you have your way."

She snapped her fingers and they changed into nicer clothes, Berry opened the door and she took Chase's hand and they went down a flight of stairs to a large dining room. There was about 20 people in there, and a massive feast.

"Truthfully, I'm not even hungry. I just want to see who is at the estates."

"Do they ever go from house to house?"

"When they're new, they do. But soon, they find their crowd and they blend in with them. Here, it's most of the people that are from the west and east. Sugar and sweet are polar opposites, but somewhere where there is no set of people."

"Fun."

"The chances of seeing a familiar face here is more common in sweet and sugar than toffee or cherry."

"Wait, I have a question...."

Berry was talking with some folks to the left of her. Chase was focused on a girl who looked like she was holding back tears. But the second a tear fell, she looked down and ate her food. She had an awful lot on her plate, and it was like she was forcing herself.

When nobody was paying attention, she quietly left the table. Chase started to become concerned for her. He got up and that's when Berry noticed.

"What is this idiot doing? Please excuse me, I will be right back."

Chase followed the girl down hallway after hallway, turn after turn, her sobs were only getting louder and louder as she went farther and farther. She stopped at a bedroom, but didn't close the door.

Chase walked in.

"What do you want?" She said heartlessly.

"I noticed that you were sad. What happened? I can help you if I can."

"Well, I just broke up with my boyfriend who confessed that he was asexual to me. I don't get it, what did I do wrong? Has this ever happened to you? If it hasn't, then you don't have to help me."

Chase sat down with her on the bed.

"It's not your fault. Maybe he felt unsure of himself and maybe he didn't want to hurt your feelings while you two were dating. I know breaking up with somebody can be hard, I got cheated on a little while ago."

"Oh no, what happened?"

"It doesn't matter anymore. They did their pain and they left me."

The girl looked at Chase.

"Why would anybody cheat on you? You seem like a nice guy. You seem gentle and smart. Like a knight."

Chase giggled.

"I Don't have much to offer. I guess I was just a regular guy. Too regular to them."

"You aren't like that."

At that moment, Berry was at the door and was peeking through. She seemed a little mad at Chase and she walked in.

Chase was about to say goodbye and walked right into Berry.

"What are you doing here?" Chase asked.

"What are YOU doing here?"

"Look, it's not what it seems like."

Berry just stared at him and then kicked him in the nuts.

"Ouch!"

Chase fell to the floor while Berry got down and twisted his arm.

"Checkmate." She whispered to him.

"What?" The girl was still on the bed.

"Don't mind him, he's just an idiot."

She picked him up and started dragging him out of the room.
