Stiles POV
Boyfriend.
Her boyfriend.
Stassi considers me her boyfriend.
I'm her boyfriend.
Oh My God.

I was over the moon. I felt proud to be hers and to experience life with her.
"You're boyfriend?" The guy Declan said in disbelief.
"Yeah." She said looking at me and smiling. I smiled back at her turning to Declan.
"So, what do your parents do?" He asked me.
"Uh my dad is the Sheriff of our county." I replied.
He stifled and laughed and shook his head and Stassi crossed her arms and puckered her lips. "Must be fascinating." He said.
"Yeah yeah, lot of cool stories. He sometimes lets me ride shotgun and talk on the radio, even though I'm not supposed to." I said and Stassi giggled.
"Oh so he lets you? You sure about that?" She said calling me out.
"Ah well, he takes it out of my hand when I grab it but I do get a word or two in." I joked with her.

"My father is the head neurosurgeon at Manhattan Hospital. He and Mr. Stark have been friends forever, I practically grew up with Stassi here. Although she never used to like her name, remember when you tried to have us call you by your middle name?" He said laughing.
"Mm." She said a bit embarrassed.
"I like your name." I said to her trying to make her feel more comfortable and she stopped biting down on her nails.

"Or that one time," Declan started again making me internally scream for him to shut the fuck up, "when we were in skiing in France and you wiped out, broke your arm, the cast was bigger than you!"
I could tell at this point that Declan's stories were to try to humiliate Stassi in front of me, or brag about his time with her when she didn't know I existed.
"I didn't know you could ski?! You'll have to try and teach me, but I can't make any promises I won't totally eat it." I said to her.
"Once you get better at French." She said jokingly.
"Oui madame." I said and she laughed.

Declan shifted uncomfortably and fixed his tie clearing his throat.
"So, how did you two meet?" He asked.
"School." I said. "We have English together."
"That's cute." He said smirking.
"Stiles is on the lacrosse team." She said putting her left hand on the middle of my back and moving closer.
"Lacrosse. Interesting. Violent game, must be a way to release some anger."
Was he implying something? Was he accusing me of something.
"I don't think Stiles has a violent bone in his body." She laughed.
"Ah. So you must suck." He said and Stassi choked on her drink and coughed.
"I uh, think we're done here. Let's go over to the west end." She said and the balls this guy had, he took Stassi by the wrist to turn her back around.
"Oh don't be like that."
"Hey man piss off!" I said pushing him and standing between him and Stassi.

"Yeah. Not violent." He said scoffing and shoving me.
"You put your hands on her Ill break your fucking face." I said getting in his face.
"I'll sue you for everything you have, if you even think of touching me. Doesn't seem to be much, but it'll do." He said.
I laughed and replied, "No maybe it's not, but you can't take her."
His jaw clenched and I seemed to hit a nerve with him.
"You threaten him, you threaten me." Stassi said standing beside me. "Dont test me."
"Mm. Real catch you got yourself Stass."
"I know. I intend on keeping him."
"Well if you want my opinion-"
"I don't." She said. "I have my own." She crossed her arms and her right leg stuck out a bit farther than her left and her eyes narrowed and her lips puckered cocking her eyebrow at him.

If she wasn't on my side, I would have been terrified.

"You know, you always have been a bitch." He spat. But before I could come to her defense she laughed.
"Oh I have not always been a bitch. Ive always been that bitch. Don't forget it."

He walked away rolling his eyes without anything left to say.
As soon as he was out of sight she softened up immediately.
"Anyways," she said flipping her hair off her shoulder, "let's check out the cars."
She grabbed my hand and we walked over to the futuristic car exhibit.

"So," I said breaking the silence, "boyfriend." She laughed a bit and said, "Well, I know you never asked but I safely assumed, sorry I didn't mean to like freak you out."
"Wha- freaked out! No no, you just totally ruined the massive proposal I was planning to ask you to be my girlfriend you know." I joked.
"What was included in this proposal?" She asked laughing.
"Oh the works. Fireworks, a parade, flamethrowers, your name in lights, I was also thinking of having lions there but I didn't know if that was too much."
She was laughing and I couldn't help but laugh too at the ridiculousness.

"Well.." she said, "you still technically never asked me."
We stepped outside away from all the craziness and the wind was blowing mildly. Cars and taxis honked and mindless chatter was all around us, but all I could focus on was her and saying the right thing.

I cleared my throat dramatically, a coping mechanism for my nervousness, and took both of her hands.
"Annastassia Stark, my best friend and biggest fan, would you do me the highest honor in being my partner in crime and girlfriend?" I asked.
She teared up and smiled with rosy cheeks.
She sniffled and swifted her head moving her hair behind her and said, "Stiles Stilinski, it would be an honor and my personal best accomplishment to be your girlfriend."

I sighed happily.
"So that's a yes?"
"Yes dummy of course!" She said wrapping her arms around my neck and hugging me. I held her close and rested my hand in her hair keeping her there.
She moved her head from my chest and looked up at me with her arms still draped around me.
"Thank you for letting me into your life, again." I said.
"Nothing made me sadder than imagining myself never seeing you again."

Fireworks were set off since the Expo was closing soon.
"At least the fireworks were still here." She joked.
I grabbed her by her face and pulled hers to mine.
All I could think about was kissing her. It's all I wanted to do. For the rest of my life.
"As long as I have you. That's all I care about." I said truthfully.
"You have me. I could be your perfect disaster."

"You could be my ever after."

I couldn't forget her if I tried, her soul is to entangled in mine.
I held her from behind as we watched the fireworks.
I never knew, you could hold moonlight in your hands until I held her.

I didn't see her as everyone else did. She wasn't this media personnel or this charity case. Even if she was, it wasn't the way I saw her.
I saw her as a breath of fresh air after you've been held underwater.
Now, if her heart releases and she falls to pieces, well let those old diseases die. I'll be there this time.
I just wanted to let her know that I was sorry I couldn't save her sooner.

And I've been wishing when I didn't know how to stay, and I was broken but I'm better everyday. What if one true loves the only one that you get?

And if she needed me, no. When she needed me, I can take this if she needs to take it out on someone.

"Stiles," she said as the fireworks died out.
"Yeah?" I asked still holding her.
"I love you." She said holding my hands around her. I smiled because I know, and I'll never get tired of hearing her say it.
I turned her around to face me and I held up a random glass to toast to her. Her heart, her soul, her presence, her existence. Her.

"Everything is different, now that I see you. To all the places we've been and all the places we'll go. And I'll say it over and over and over again. I love you."

You are my new dream.
