"Wei Ying, please look at me" lan zhan begged trying his best to make his soulmate snap out of his horrified daze. "Papa! Look at us!" Jingyi and Sīzhuī begged not understanding what they had seen that had horrified them so much, upto the point where his own father had shed a few tears.
"Wei Ying, snap out of it!" Lan Zhan spoke much louder and clearer tone, wei ying looked at his soulmate with a devastated look and felt his blood run cold when he realised what the whole ordeal was.
The overwhelming feeling he had gotten after going through the whole empathy was indescribable when a fresh shot of pain travelled right through his neck.
Wiping his tears, "I will kill him" wei ying spoke getting of the ground shakily stumbling behind into lan zhan's arms. "I'm so sorry" Lan Zhan apologised realising that trusting the man was one of the biggest mistakes he had ever made.
"I shouldn't have trusted him, I should have never brought him near you" lan zhan apologised continuously after remembering the heinous acts the man had committed on, Mo xuanyu, thinking that it was wei ying.
"That man suffered all along because of me! I told you lan zhan! I should have died!" Wei Ying cried out in devestation not being able to unsee the fact that the innocent man had even forgiven him before he died, but at what cost will wei ying ever live with a peaceful mind! A man was tortured because of him, all because he had slightly resembled him.
"You could not have possibly known anything" Lan Zhan spoke not believing that he had even let that man near his children!
"I should have known that the man was not good when he knew so much about me." Wei Ying, whispered clutching onto his hair in horror and disappointment as he looked at the innocent man's corpse for one last time.
After, staring at the ground for a good hour in utter silence whilst his children and the juniors panicked still not realising what they had really seen that had left them with tears trailing down their faces.
"He deserves a proper burial" wei ying whispered setting the qiankun pouch down on his chest. " Your rightful master" Wei Ying thought setting it down.
"He does" Lán Zhan agreed with wei ying,
"you know what mo xuanyu.." wei ying spoke grabbing the amulet from his body once again.
" I will avenge for you"
Gusu lan sect,
"What do you mean they found the lost scriptures, the scripts were lost over sixteen years ago and now out of nowhere you have found them?" Lan qiren asked his nephew who seemed to have a troubled look on his face, almost as if he had discovered something bitter.
"Why does it seem like you have something to say?" Lan qiren asked his nephew who seemed to be almost having a breakdown.
"The scriptures contained a resentful verse from collection of turmoils, which casts a curse upon demonic cultivators."
lan xichen spoke afraid of his uncle's reaction when he completes telling him about his findings.
"The curse is usually cast upon people with resentful energy to make them lose control over their conscience,...." Lan qiren stiffened a bit and nodded anyways continuing to listen to his nephew.
“This morning I had received two scriptures from an anonymous person, one of them which contained a copy of the stolen scriptures sixteen years ago and another one which contained the song of clarity mixed with a verse which belongs to the collection of turmoils so perfectly that the person had gotten away unscathed”
