Lan Zhan just nodded and looked down at his soulmate for a moment. "He lost control over it. " Zewu jun said putting his hands on lan zhan's shoulders comforting him.

"He could have died." Lan Zhan whispered stroking wei ying's soft locks. " He didn't wangji. " Zewu jun spoke in a rather soft tone.

Lan xichen walked ahead of where the pair were sitting , he looked down onto the burial mounds and clenched his eyes shut when he saw its red furious eyes which could kill anybody in the spot.

"I-i didn't mean it." Jiang cheng looked at wei ying's unconscious body on lan zhan's lap. "He gave you his everything." Lan Zhan glared at the man who backed away quickly. "And this is how you pay him back!" Jiang Cheng's eyes softened when he saw tears in lan zhan's eyes.

"Jiang wanyin, we should get going." Zewu jun said pulling jiang cheng with him, who didn't struggle a bit but kept staring at his unconscious brother with a lot of pain.

'i could have killed him today.' that was the only thing which went inside his mind. Zewu jun had held his hands tightly "it's not your fault, it was a mistake." The man reassured him , jiang cheng paid no attention to his words.

If the amulet wasn't there at the moment, he would have lost his brother forever.

Meanwhile in the battlefield.

"WE SURRENDER!" all the leaders bent down onto the ground infront of zewu jun pleading him for mercy.

Jiang cheng stood along with him glaring at all those people who were power thirsty a few minutes ago.

The said man whimpered falling down onto the ground. Yanli who stood far away from them stared at her brother , jiang cheng who looked enraged.

She rushed towards him without looking at anybody in front of her and softly touched his back. Jiang cheng slightly flinched and looked behind him.

"Shijie?" Jiang cheng turned around and looked at his shijie whose face was full of remorse. "A'cheng where's A'xian." She asked him hoping for a positive answer.

" You will see it yourself lady jin." Zewu jun replied to her question with a smile in his face which was obviously him trying to cover his anger up.

Jiang yanli quickly understood what the man was saying and looked at jiang cheng frantically. When he looked at his shijie he tried avoiding making any eye contact with her.

"A'cheng what happened?" She asked him gently shaking his shoulders. Jiang cheng just shook his head looking away from her.

"Young master wei, tried killing himself." Zewu jun broke the silence between the siblings. "He tried to jump from the end of the cliff." He pointed towards the end of the cliff where they saw a white figure holding what seemed to be like her brother.
