"aiya lan Zhan I won't get hurt I'm strong you can stop following me" wei ying said for the nth time trying to make lan Zhan believe him.

"No" lan Zhan said he couldn't leave his soulmate alone afterall he had no golden core of his own he could get hurt. On top of that people are targeting his soulmate. He couldn't possibly let anyone of that happen.

Wei ying sighed in annoyance why couldn't lan Zhan let him go alone. "Fine" he said walking with lan zhan. They held their hands walking around the cloud recesses after thier classes had gotten over.

"Lan Zhan how about you and I go outside that way I won't be alone and you will be there to protect me!" Wei ying said coming up with an idea to go outside in the city.

"Mn that's fine" lan Zhan said thinking that it would be a great idea. "Yay! Thank you lan Zhan you are amazing!" Wei ying said jumping lan Zhan was cautious enough to keep the  boy in his hold.

"Mn" lan Zhan said continuing his walk some of the disciples bowed down paying their respects to them. Why are they weird? Wei ying thought.

"Lan Zhan where are we going ?" Wei ying asked his soulmate. " Meditation" lan Zhan said which made wei ying pout be thought that they were going to the city!. " No lan Zhan I don't want to meditate look at me aren't I peaceful". Wei ying said pouting.

The truth to be told wei ying did need to meditate. Lan Zhan had seen wei ying's eyes flashing red during the class when someone had talked about him.  Lan Zhan was thankful over the fact that he had seen that. Otherwise the consequences in the future would be bad.

"Lan zh- mmphh!" Wei ying was about to call lan Zhan once again when he realised that he couldn't talk anymore. Which had meant only one thing lan Zhan had used his silencing spell. "Mmph!" Wei ying tried saying pointing his hands towards his mouth asking lan Zhan to undo the spell.

"No, wei ying must meditate" lan Zhan said dragging wei ying towards the pond. Wei ying had protested at first but had eventually given up.

His eyes widened when he saw the hot spring it looked ethereal. Now wei ying had wanted to meditate. Wei ying had slowly walked in to the water following lan Zhan.

"Aah~ this feels good" wei ying moaned out feeling the warm water embracing his body. He realised that he could finally talk maybe the spell cast over him was over.

Lan zhan's ears had turned red when he heard wei ying moan. Oh! How much he had wanted to be the one who made his wei ying moan not some hot spring. 'control lan wangji control!' lan Zhan told himself.

Wei ying had closed his eyes and tried to clear his aura by meditating. He had settled next to lan Zhan in the hot spring.

After mediating for a while lan Zhan had started noticing that wei ying was restless he moved he was shaking his head. Wei ying had started hearing those shrill screams in his ears again.

"Wei ying " lan Zhan called him getting concerned. Wei ying hadn't opened his eyes he just flinched. "Wei ying what's happening." Lan Zhan asked getting scared for his soulmate.

'revenge revenge' wei ying had heard that shrill voice whisper in his ears along with the screams. "N-no no no" wei ying said shaking his head. Lan zhan started shaking him trying to get him out of his void.

'you are mine.' the voice whispered the screams had gotten louder which made wei Ying clench his eyes even harder. Resentful energy had surrounded wei Ying. He had kept shaking his head. He looked as if he was in pain.

A black smoke had covered wei ying's body leaving his face. "N-no no leave me p-please" wei ying pleaded tears falling down from his eyes.

Lan Zhan looked at his soulmate feeling helpless. What was happening to him? "Wei ying look at me" lan Zhan asked wei ying.
