"what?", Lan Zhan asked taking sharp strides towards wei wuxian. The younger man groaned in pain and looked at him with bloodshot eyes, dry and soulless.
"How much did erase lan wangji!", Wei Ying shouted angrily pushing his husband away from him when he tried to hold his hands. Lan wangji stumbled a bit and steadied himself almost immediately.
"I don't remember lan zhan! I don't remember it!", Wei Ying sobbed pointing at the portrait which hung over the other side. Wei Wuxian had clearly accepted that he knew about his marriage with lan wangji, but, the younger did not seem to remember a single thing about the day he got married.
"I'm sorry.", Lan Zhan apologised pressing wei ying's body closer to his chest. The silent sobs had just gotten louder by time.
"My mom and dad, I don't know who they are.", Wei Ying whispered sniffling into lan zhan's arms. The older did not realise how wrong one spell could go, all he could hope was to fix everything. But, it was too late.
The memories either come back one day or they are just gone forever.
"Are they alive? Have I ever seen them?", Wei Ying asked curling his hands around lan zhan's back.
"But, Jiāng Chéng is my brother and I am a wei.", Wei Ying continued speaking not understanding any links between his Brother and his family.
Parts of wei ying's memories had been erased in such a way that he remembered certain people while he forgot some.
"Your parents.", Lan Zhan answered not ready reveal all his bitter memories to him. The soul mark throbbed every now and then, letting lan wangji know that his soulmate was in a lot of pain.
"They passed away when you were five during a night hunt.", Lan Zhan whispered not pulling away from the hug. The soft cries of his soulmate was heard throughout the silent room when lan zhan revealed the truth.
"Why do I have to relish these pains lan Zhan.", Wei Ying wasn't raged nor was he sobbing anymore. His face just held no more feelings. Drained out of all his tears wei ying could do nothing but let lan Zhan hold him close so that the feeling of the sudden coldness and numbness, he could do nothing but wait for the day when it leaves.
A while later, Jiang cheng finally mustered up enough courage to visit his brother. He felt dread as he walked towards his brother who seemed to be sound asleep at the moment, wen qing had warned them that this might happen for the upcoming weeks, his mind needed its fair share of rest as his body did.
As he was about to walk away from his brother a hand tugged on his robes stopping him from moving from his stance. Jiang wanyin turned to look at his brothers hands which held onto his robes.
"My eyes hurt that's why they aren't open.", Wei Ying said with a slightly deep tone as he croaked out certain words sleepily. Wei Ying patted the bed and asked jiang cheng indirect to sit down nearby.
"How do you feel?", He asked not sitting down since he did not want to disrupt his brothers sleep. Wei ting simply just nodded and shook his hands.
"I remember that you once told me that I belong to the yunmeng jiang.", Wei Ying opened his eyes with slight curiosity and looked at Jiang Cheng who knew what was happening.
"I remember you and your sister.", Wei Ying said rubbing his forehead Slightly as he avoided his sister's name like a plague.
"But?", Jiāng Chéng asked Slightly dreading the next part of what wei wuxian was about to say.
