"Did you see the look on uncle's face!? He was so pale, almost as if I set his beard on fire once again!" Wei Ying exclaimed getting all giggly when he remembered the look on lan qiren's face.
The duo was currently going to lanling Jin, where the cultivation conference was going to happen after their uncle had passed.
"Especially wen qing and mianmian, they looked like chickens whose head had just been chopped off." Wei Ying continued laughing feeling tears getting collected near the corner of his eyes.
Lan wangji hummed, ' they were guilty about something, just like brother' he thought whilst Wei Wuxian got lost in his very own daze.
"is Xianxian getting bored?" The woman in baby blue robes asked pinching her three year old sons nose gently.
The little one giggled and jumped into her arms completely abandoning his father and the donkey.
"Hey! Don't leave us like that!" The father excalimed with a pout on his face.
"Lan Zhan?" Wei Ying called him out nudging his shoulders not so gently, his husband who seemed to be minding his own business looked at him almost immediately and nodded.
"Can you tell me about my parents?" Wei Ying asked in a soft tone looking at Lan Zhan with hopeful eyes shinning in anticipation. Lan wangji couldn't look away, nor could he stop himself from tearing up a little.
"Your mother, her name was Cangse sanren. She loved you very much, so much that in the end she perished saving you" Lan Zhan spoke not minding the fact that he was a man of few words. He could repeat his words a thousand times for wei ying.
"Your father, his name was wei changze. He was just like you, mischievous, loyal to the man he worked for"
"They had a son who was named wei wuxian, a perfect mixture of them." Lan Xichen continued talking when he saw how miserable his brother looked even if his face showed nothing. Wei Ying's face brightened up in a few seconds as he Continued to listen to the brothers telling him about his parents.
"He created so much trouble that people had even considered naming him after the trouble making god."
"How is he remembering?" Lan xichen thought smile faltering on his face when wei ying started asking more questions as they neared Jinlintai.
"Wei Ying we talked about this" lan zhan sternly said looking at wei ying who did not seem to listen to word he was telling him.
"Sure, lan wangji I won't try to hit anyone. I won't trip Jiang cheng, nor will try to choke someone to death." Wei Ying whispered back rolling his eyes getting irritated over the rules his soulmate had put up.
Arriving at the steps of Jinlintai didn't take them long enough since Lan Zhan had thought that using a transporting talisman would be way more convenient.
"Sect leader su of moling su, can enter now." The Jin sect disciple annouced and wei wuxian suddenly felt the urge to throw up at the sight of the man staring at him with hawk eyes.
"Don't even think about it." Lan xichen reminded his brother in law with a smile on his face as he pushed his fists back.
"There's a time to punish everybody" lan xichen said asking lan zhan to restrain wei ying's untamed hands.
"Does that mean, xichen-ge will drag him out in the woods for me. I have a plan ready, I will steal lan zhan's bichen then we shall cut him into pieces. I'm sure that you are willing to hide a body for me, right?"
Wei Ying asked with excitement and a certain shine present in his eyes, lan xichen almost laughed if only lan zhan wasn't glaring at him.
"You never know what I might do A'xian"
