A few weeks had passed on quickly with wei ying recovering fast. Lan qiren had apologised to the boy for his mistake; which was easily forgiven by eri ying but not baoshan sanren the lady was intact.

Wei ying was accompanying lan Zhan for night hunting today. Both sanren and Lan Zhan had declined it but she had allowed him to go later anyways.

"Hanguang jun you must be really popular here." Wei ying said in a teasing tone looking at lan Zhan. "Mn" lan Zhan said before pulling wei Ying with him walking faster than before.

I will wait for that day then.' his shijie said walking towards lotus pier. ' I will also make sure that shijie never leaves me' the boy proudly said raising three fingers promising her. She just giggled ' and shijie will never leave you.' she said putting the small boy down poking his small button nose.

' and shijie will never betray her wei ying.' she said smiling raising three fingers promising him. He just gave his shijie a toothy smile before walking inside holding her hands.

Wei ying was so lost in his past that he did not even realise that a man tried attacking him with a sword. A very alarmed lan Zhan attacked the man gracefully with his sword but stopped when he realised that it was just nie huaisang.

" Hanguang jun! It's me! I was just trying to scare wei gongzi. Look it's just a wooden knife." Huaisang said panting feeling adrenaline rush through his body.

Lan Zhan just glared at him before looking at wei ying who seemed lost in his own world. "lan Zhan I know what I'm supposed to give shijie." Wei ying said lan Zhan just nodded asking him what it was. "The moon." Wei ying said staring up at the sky; smiling.

Lan Zhan and huaisang looked at him; not understanding what he meant. "Let's go lan Zhan, huaisang come on!" Wei ying said pulling lan zhan towards the cloud recesses. Nie huaisang felt like a third wheel but followed along anyways.

The cloud recesses had officially ended the study meet a week ago. All the sect members had returned back to their sects. Jiang cheng, yanli,wen qing and wen ning stayed back for a few more weeks as they did not have the heart to leave wei Ying behind.

And baoshan sanren. She was just being her usual self. She now trains the disciples along with lan qiren. She would keep on disturbing lan qiren every now and then but the man was just not fazed.

They had reached the cloud recesses around seven. They were met with a very scary jiang cheng who scowled at lan Zhan and wei Ying. "Where were you wei wuxian!" Wei ying looked scared when he heard his brother just growl at him like a wolf.

"Shoo doggie! I went for night hunting you clearly knew that!" Wei ying said pulling his brother into a hug. "Fine" he said looking at wei ying.

"I'm leaving for yunmeng today I will be back in a few days I'm taking shijie with me." Jiang cheng said wei Ying just sadly nodded. " Get used to this brat shijie and I won't be able to come visit you frequently like this." Jiang cheng said which made wei ying even sadder.

" Lan Zhan! Look at him!" Wei ying cried out feeling sad. Lan Zhan felt bad for his soulmate but wanyin wasn't wrong they cannot possibly visit wei Ying every week like this.
