"Jiāng Chéng?" Wei Ying called his brother when he felt the sudden urge to ask him a question. His brother who was done with his work, hummed letting him know that he was ready to listen to his ramblings.

"Do you know who Madam Yu is?"

Jiāng Chéng blinked for a good minute, in shock as he looked down on the carpeted floor with a horrified look on his face. As he tried his level best to hide the pain of lying to his own brother, he had take responsibility of what he was partially responsible for; so he looked, he looked at his brother with the best look he could put on his face and slightly cracked a smile.

"Who is that?"

The smile on his face remained unfaltered as he spouted the most painful things he has ever had to tell his brother. Wei ying cocked his head sideways and just shook his head.

"Who is this Madam yu, you are talking about?" Wei Ying just shook his head and huffed out a small laugh before he wryly swung the flute rested on his palms.

"How is he remembering all of this?"

"Do you know how I got those huge scars on my back?" Wei Ying asked another question not satisfied with the answer his brother had given him.

"When you were young" Jiāng Chéng answered back with ease, clearly lying through his teeth,  almost as if he had mastered the art of lying for his brother. Wei Ying nodded this time somewhat satisfied with the answer his brother had given him.

"Do you remember my parents' names? Do you remember how they looked before they passed away?" Wei Ying asked; eyes wide open anticipating for an answer which would leave him satisfied for the rest of the

The two questions his brother had asked him was enough to make his eyes jerk open with tears almost leaving his dark brown orbs.

A mistake that should have never happened, a mistake that wouldn't have happened if only his brother wasn't in so much pain.

"You resemble them" He softly replied looking away from his brother, behind whom Lán Wangji stood who seemed to understand his plight.

"That's enough for today" lan zhan sloke from behind walking outside the main hall to their designated rooms by the sect leader of lanling. As he walked outside with wei ying he did not forget to look at Jiang Cheng who could not believe how his brother remembered those memories.

"I'm going to get comfortable, just make sure that the paperman does not get lost lan zhan" Lan Zhan nodded after agreeing with wei ying after almost fifteen minutes of him begging to let him use the paperman.

Paper metamorphosis was one of the hardest spells to perform, with wei ying's soul casted on a paperman even if a single scratch is acquired by the paper, the person might end up unconscious for a while year or end up as a lunatic his whole life.

"Be careful" Lan Zhan whispered to the paperman who stood on his palm shaking around a little most likely doing his five second work out as usual lan zhan thought.

The paperman nodded and flapped his hands to get into lan zhan's hair, which he did with ease and started pulling into his forehead ribbon.

"Don't play around" lan zhan warned letting the paperman do whatever he wanted since he can't squish the paper. The paperman had so much power over him at the moment that lan zhan even had watch wei ying's paperman kiss him; to his disappointment it was just a paper head pressing against his lips.

"Be back soon" Lan Zhan reminded him once again as he opened the door to let him outside. As wei ying's paperman flew outside it hadn't taken him a long time to get to Jin Guangyao's chambers where he found an array which led him to another room.
