"For safety" lan zhan whispered summoning suibian in his hands to give it to wei ying, knowing very well that his children had followed him to Lanling Jin. He did not bother to say anything, rather he had taken Jīngyi's sword from him.

Wei Ying hummed and walked inside the bronze mirror which led them to the secret chamber inside the fragrance hall.

"I won't be able to hold it for a long time" Wei Ying replied back and started looking around the hidden chamber with hawk eyes, he almost gasped when he did not find the amulets other half which could have proven that Jin guangyao was indeed one of the main reasons why no xuanyu killed himself. "He hid it away!" Wei Ying spat Inside his mind in anger as he looked around to find the thing's he looked for.

"I had this chamber made so that A'su and I could come here to admire our prized possessions" Guangyao spoke looking at lan xichen with a smile on his face.

"What is Madame Qin doing here?" Jiāng Chéng asked when he saw how silent the woman looked. It looked as if she was frozen from her head to toe.

"A'su likes to come here to admire our prized possessions whenever she feels like it" Guangyao spoke not minding the fact that wei wuxian had caught his lie. Seeing it as his time Guangyao casted the spell upon his wife and waited for the whole scene to unfold in front of him.

"Madame Qin are you fine?" Wei Ying bent down to look at the woman who hadn't said a thing yet.

"May I ask young master wei, how he got to know about my secret chamber?" Jin guangyao asked the man with a questioning look on his face.

"Someone from Jinlintai told me that you had been holding madame Qin captive, I couldn't help but feel concerned" wei ying lied to the man in such a tone that even lan zhan had almost believed him. 

"The lady had started spouting all such nonsense as if you had forced yourself onto your wife" wei ying spoke looking at the woman who was still dead silent after him talking about her.

"Who would talk such things about her? This is absolutely wrong!" Guangyao exclaimed angrily looking at wei ying who backed away when lan zhan had pulled him back.

"Are you going to believe the yiling patriarch! This man was the reason behind your father and mother's death!"

Su minshan spat unsheathing his sword to attack Wei Ying. As he ran forward wei ying unsheathed suibian in defense and dodged the attack flawlessly.

Jiāng Chéng froze in shock when he watched the whole scene unfold. How did his brother unsheathe suibian? The lack of a golden core was supposed to suck the energy out of him if he ever unsheathes it. How did his brother even dodge an attack with a tool which had sealed itself from its original master more than sixteen years ago.
