Chapter 37
----1 month later----
I look in the mirror and turn to the side. I have a tiny bump. It isn't that noticeable but Josh and I can notice a difference.
I put on a sweatshirt over my undershirt.
"Chloe! Paige texted! She is at the resteraunt and Mikey is heading here." Josh yells.
"Ok. I'm almost done!"
I finish my braid and walk out to the living room.
"Can you notice?" I ask Josh.
"No. Just don't lift up your shirt." Josh says.
He comes up to me and I kiss his lips.
"Mikey won't believe you." I say walking away.
"Well hurry back with Paige so she can calm reassure him." Josh says handing me my jacket.
"Ok. I'll call you." I say. Josh kisses my cheek and I walk outside.
----At the resteraunt----
I walk inside the resteraunt and see Paige sitting at a table. She smiles at me and waves me over.
I give her a hug.
"I missed you." She says.
"I missed you too."
We sit down and order our food.
"So how was Hawaii?" I ask taking a bite of my salad.
"Beautiful! The beach was so nice. And the kids weren't bad either." She replies.
I smile.
"That's good. So why did you have to go? You never really told me why and it was like last minute."
"Um well we were supposed to go on a trip there in the Spring but it got moved to last month. And they got called me last minute so I wasn't able to call you and Josh until the morning." She says.
I look down at my plate. Remembering the night before she called me.
"That sounds crazy." I say.
"Are you alright?" Paige asks.
I nod. "Just really full."
"Oh yeah you had something to tell me." She recalls.
I nod. After a few seconds I take a deep breath. I'm about to say something but the waitress comes over.
"Can I get you anything else?"
"Um no I think we are good." Paige says looking over at me. I shake my head.
We pay the bill and head out.
"Do you want to go shopping?" Paige asks. I nod.
We head to Jcpenney.
"Chloe! You should so try this on." Paige says holding up a dress. I shake my head knowing she would be able to tell I am pregnant. I
"C'mon." She says. I smile and then shake my head.
"I don't really like that dress." I Lie.
"Ok. Well I would've looked good on you." Paige says putting it back on the rack.
After a few more shops we head to starbucks.
"So please spill." Paige asks.
"Ok." I take a deep breath praying she takes this well.
"Um.... I'm pregnant."
Her face turns white. I look down at my feet.
"I'm sorry." I state as a tear falls from my eye.
"I don't believe it." She whispers.
I take another breath and lift up my hoodie making sure she sees the bump.
"Paige I'm so sorry I should've told you. I knew you wouldn't believe me over the phone."
"I'm just shocked." After a few seconds she adds, "How far along?"
"Um about 10 weeks."
"Does Josh know?" She asks.
I nod closing my eyes. I feel something I never thought I would've felt.
Paige wraps her arms around me.
"It's alright. I'm not mad." I smile.
We release from the hug, I wipe my tears.
"Josh is with Mikey we should probably start heading there now. Mikey won't believe it." I say grabbing my keys out of my purse.
"I'll see you at your apartment baby mama." Paige says.
I shoot her a glare, "Do not call me that."
Paige laughs.
I get in the car and call Josh.
"Hello?"
"Hey. Is Mikey there?"
"Yeah he is just in the bathroom. Um I haven't told him yet."
"Great well we are heading back so tell him now."
"Ok. I'll talk to you later pretty!"
"Ok. Love you!"
"Love you too."
I drive to the apartment and see Mikey's car.
Paige is right behind me. We get out.
"I hope he has told him." I say.
I open the door and it go silent.
Mikey is one of my best friends along with Paige and Josh so I hope he takes this better than I hope.
I walk upstairs and Mikey gets up from the couch. I put my purse down and Mikey comes close to me. He lifts up my hoodie and looks at my belly.
I close my eyes.
He puts my hoodie down.
"You're pregnant?" He asks.
I nod.
He walks outside on the balcony.
I am about to walk over there when Paige grabs my arm. I look back at her and she shakes her head.
I go sit by Josh and put my head on his shoulder.
"He isn't happy with me." Josh says.
"He doesn't know what to think. You two are like brothers. It's just a crazy thought to think about. Just give him time." Paige adds.
Josh kisses my head.
Mikey is like a brother to me. He has helped me when Josh messed up. He still loves Paige which makes me happy.
Josh puts his hand on my belly.
I look up at him and kiss his lips quickly.
Paige smiles.
"Oh I forgot to tell you, um Maddie, Brandon, Kendall and Zach are coming in a few weeks."
I look at him. "Great! And just wait my mom will be coming when I'm about to the have the baby."
"She will have to know sometime." Josh adds.
I sigh.
Mikey comes back in. I stand up.
He comes close to me and gives me a hug.
I let a deep breath out.
Paige smiles.
Mikey releases me from the hug and looks at Josh.
Josh stands up. Mikey comes over to Josh and gives him a hug.////end of chapter 37
