2 MONTHS LATER! 1 week till graduation.....
I watch as Josh fiddles with his backpack. Trying to find his pencil.
I laugh cause he is trying so hard.
The class is waiting for him.
Today we are ordering our cap and gowns for registration.
I reach my hand behind my back and unzip my backpack slowly. I feel around for a pencil.
I feel the eraser and grab it. He didn't bother to ask me for one. I don't know why.
I put the pencil in my hand and slingshot it at Josh's head.
He turns his head with a "What the heck did you just do" Look.
I smile at him,
"Mr Hyland. Seems you have found a pencil. Now can we please get back to the registration?" Our teacher asks.
"Yes mam!" He demands.
I just laugh. Everyone tries to hide a smile.
Josh leans and whispers in my ear, "Thanks. I was afraid I would have to write with a crayon."
"You should've just asked me."
"I was under pressure and was determined to find one." He whispers. I just smile and bite my lip.
----LUNCH----
I walk down the stairs and see Josh. He smiles and waves me over.
I get to the table and he grabs my hand. Leading me to the news board.
"They posted the class rank." He says.
I look among the 50's and can't find my name. Josh grabs my finger and moves it up to number 1.

I look at Josh and he is smiling.
He jump in his arms and embrace him In a hug.
He gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
We walk back over to the lunch table and everyone is eating.
"Hey guys." I say.
"Chloe! Did you see the class rank?" Paige asks
"Um I don't think so. Did I see it Josh?" I turn my head to him acting confused.
Josh shakes his head, "I don't think so."
I smile and look at Paige, "Of course I did!"
"Did you guys order your cap and gowns?"Josh asks.
Everyone nods.
I grab Josh's drink and take a sip.
"What is this?" I ask.
"Um. It's iced tea!"
"Disgusting!" I say handing it back to him.
Josh just sits there laughing. "You suck!" I say pushing him. ////end of chapter 23
