"You ready?" Josh asks opening his car door for me.
"Ready than I'll ever be." I reply taking his hand.
I walk up to the front door of the Hyland's house. I hear everyone talking.
I turn the golden door knob and hear the room grow silent.
I open it and see everyone look at me.
Paige comes running and gives me a hug.
"We have a lot to talk about." She says.
She releases me from her hug and then walks over to the couch.
Everyone makes their rounds with hugging and then we all sit down and talk.
I am fiddling with my fingers when Mikey says, "So? How's Yale?"
"Um. Full of geniuses. I have no idea how I got into the school." I say.
"Well you somehow managed too." Mikey's says. I throw a pillow at him.
"When do you go back?" Brandon asks.
"In about a week. I just have to send in my preferred classes."
Josh gets up and walks outside.
I look over at Paige. She whispers, "It hasn't really sunk in that you are not gonna be here."
I look down and them decide to get up.
I make my way towards the back door and see Josh sitting on one of the lawn chairs.
"Don't know how to handle it do you?" I ask.
He turns his head and smiles. "Just thinking."
I walk over and sit on his lap. "I know that look." I wait a few seconds then say, "That's how I felt when I heard about your college. I didn't know how to contain my feelings. I wanted to throw my head into a wall. Erase all the bad memories."
Josh pulls a pieces of my hair behind my ear. I add, "You may not think its true now but we will make it work. We may be thousands of miles apart but we can figure it out. I am not gonna let distance ruin this."
He kisses my forehead then looks me straight in the eye, "You are my everything." He states.
I place my lips onto his. He puts his hand on my cheek.
I hear someone clear their throat. I stop kissing him and look to the side.
Paige is standing there along with everyone else. She has her phone out.
"You guys having fun there?" She asks.
I look over at Josh, "I'm not gonna even try." He says.
I laugh then fall into his chest.////end of chapter 19
