Chapter 17

It's about 7:45 as I watch Josh order some cotton candy.
I am sitting on a bench while he turns around and rolls his eyes. Clearly annoyed with the cashier.
He grabs the cotton candy and walks over to me.
"What was that all about?" I ask taking a sip of my soda.
"The cashier didn't speak that well English. I had to point to the cotton candy. He gave it to me for like a dollar." Josh says picking a piece of cotton candy off.
"Ah. That makes sense." I say.
Josh grabs my hand and stands up.
"Follow me."
"What?" I ask.
"Just come on."
We start walking towards the exit.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
Josh sh's me and puts his finger to my lips. I just look up at him.
The lady stamps out hands for reentry.
We make our way to Josh's car and he tells me to get in.
I hop in the seat and it reminds me of the time when I left and he came to find me.
He knows exactly where I am.
Josh starts driving on the highway.
"What are we doing?" I ask.
He is silent.
After about 20 minutes he finally stops in the middle of a dirt road and tells me to get out.
My combat boots hit the dirt.
"What is this?" I ask.
He grabs my hand and leads me farther down the dirt road.
We make a few turns then end up at an array of sand.
"Look." Josh says pointing out at the distance.
I look out and see a beautiful clear sunset. Mixtures of red and orange.
I look over at Josh and he is just staring at me.
I turn my body towards him and wrap my arms around his neck.
"That is beautiful." I say.
"Not as beautiful as you."
"You are so cheesy." I reply.
He just laughs.
I put my forehead to his.
"Where did you get this idea?" I ask.
"It just came to me." I laugh.
"Oh. So you just thought of going to this place. Nothing triggered it?"
"Well I was driving on the highway and I saw the sunset and the perfect place to watch it." He says grabbing my hands.
"Ah! I see." "Aren't I just amazing?" He asks. "You're such a copier." I say before pressing my lips into his.////end of chapter 17
