Speechless, I nod my head.
Josh smiles and I give him a hug.
Everyone starts clapping. I laugh.
Josh puts the ring on my finger and it is a perfect fit.
He kisses me and then after all the madness we leave.
"I love you." I say looking into Josh's eyes.
"I love you more."
We all drive back to the apartment and I lay down on the couch.
"Chloe are you okay?" Mikey asks.
"Yeah just tired." I say.
Paige comes and sits down next to me.
She picks up my left hand.
"He did good." She says.
I laugh.
"Yeah he did. Now you know what we have to do?" I ask.
Paige smiles, "and what is that?"
"Plan the wedding before the baby comes." I say sitting up.
Paige stops smiling.
"That's in 5 months." She states.
"Yeah so? I just want one with a few family members and you guys. That's all."
"Ug! Fine!" She cries.
I stand up and walk out on the balcony.
I hear someone behind me. I look back and see Josh sliding the door closed.
"Hey!" I state.
"Hey."
We look out at the little kids playing basketball.
"That'll be you one day." I say.
Josh looks over at me.
"Um I think Ive already been a kid." He Jokes.
"I mean. Going to the park with our child, playing basketball. All that."
Josh smiles.
"You are actually confident we can handle this?" He asks.
I nod, "Yeah I am."
----1 month later- 5 mo. Pregnant----
I wake up with this excruciating pain in my stomach.
I moan in pain.
"Josh! Josh! Wake up!" I say moving Josh's arm.
He opens his eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Something's wrong, this isn't normal." I say siting up.
Josh Starts sitting up but I fall on him, dizzy.
"Ok let's go." Josh says picking me up bridal style.
He sets me down and puts on his hoodie.
Josh picks me up and walks out to the living room. I catch a glimpse at the clock and it's 2:45.
I feel like the world is spinning everytime I lift my head up.
Josh walks outside. It is late May and it isn't that chilly.
We got out of school about a month ago. Our wedding is in early October.
Josh sets me into the passenger seat and he gets in the drivers seat. He starts speeding away.
I start moaning again. Josh puts his hand on my thigh.
My face is covered by my hand. I try not to open my eyes.
After what feels like an eternity I finally hear Josh open his door.
He comes around to my side and picks me up.
"My fiancée needs help!" Josh says entering the hospital.
A nurse comes running over and I tell her I am really dizzy and my stomach was hurting. Like not hurting but felt like someone was poking needles in my stomach.
She puts me in a wheelchair. She tells Josh he can't come and wheels me down.i
I look back at Josh.
He nods and gives me a thumbs up.

I open my eyes and see some machines making a lot of noise. I see Josh in the corner sitting at a chair.
"Chloe!" He says coming over to the bed.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Well you had extreme pain in your stomach and the doctors did a few tests." Josh says.
I move my hand down to my stomach and I remember I'm pregnant.
I look at Josh and he nods. "The baby is good. We haven't gotten the results back we will soon." Josh replies.
I such and close my eyes again.
I hear the door open and see a nurse pop her head in.
"Oh good. You're awake." The nurse says.
She comes in to the room and stand by my bed.
"You're results are still unknown but in about 15 minutes we will probably have them."
"What happened?" I ask.
(I am just making this up I don't really know if it's true.)
"Well we figured out that you had food poisoning which caused some things with the baby. We haven't figured if they are serious but we are checking it out. You have a mildly high fever along with dehydration. This was a different case with food poisoning and since the baby gets all the nutrients we are seeing how the baby responded." The nurse.
I nod and ask, "So is there anything I need to be aware of that is really important?"
She shakes her head, "Not extreme just that you got food poisoning and we don't know how is effected the baby."
I nod my head.
After a few more questions she leaves.
I look at my stomach. The bump is bigger like bigger bigger. It isn't a little one anymore. Josh and I want to be surprised of the gender.
----15 minutes later----
The doctors come running in and sit me up.
They get out a machine and start plugging in all the cords.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"We need to check the baby's heartbeat." He says. I look over at Josh. He has his arms crossed.
"What happened?" He asks.
"The tests came back and the baby didn't respond to the medicine the way we hoped."
Josh comes over and grabs my hand.
They put the stick to my stomach and move it around. Nothing.
They keep moving it around and I hear nothing.
I close my eyes and a few tears fall.
After about 5 more seconds I hear little noises on the speaker. The doctor smiles.
I let out a deep breath and fall back in my chair.
Josh rubs my hand.

"So what actually happened." I ask.
"Well the baby got the food poisoning which affected it in an unpleasant way. It's heart beat was going up very high and it wasn't showing the ok signs. While you were getting tests we have you an IV which would give the baby medicine and the nutrients. But once we took the tests a little while after the baby wasn't responding and we didn't get anything back from the test."
I look down.
"But we are gonna keep you overnight just so we make sure everything is ok." The doctor says.
I smile.
I scan the room and find a clock. It is 4:30.

Josh hands me half of his sandwich. I take a bite, finally knowing I can eat something.
I hear someone saying my name.
"Where's Chloe Lukasiak?" They ask.
Then I hear heels getting closer and closer. They open the door and I see the concerned face of...........
