Chapter 5
----
*Ding* I open my eyes and see my computer light up. It's 3:45 a.m.
I move my finger across the navigation pad (I have no idea what it's called) and see an email from Yale. It says that the elite program starts on march 25. It's the 21st.
I smile and close my computer. My phone goes off and I see it's Josh.
I debate on if I should answer it or not.
I watch as the green button lights up. The contact name is the same, the picture is the same.
I watch until the screen turns black.
----Next morning----
I look on my computer for flights to Connecticut. I only found one at 2:30 a.m on the 24th. I will only be there for 2 weeks. Get a week off then head back there to start my courses for the elite program.
----Josh POV----
"Josh, what do you want to do about Chlo?" Paige asks throwing me a water bottle. "I don't know. I'm just gonna give her some time. I don't even know if she will talk to me." I say running my hands through my hair.
"She will. Just give her time. It might not be nice but it will be something." Paige replies before walking upstairs.
I look at my home screen, a picture of Chloe and I at the amusement park.
----FLASHBACK----
"Josh I hate roller coasters." Chloe says looking at the piece of food laying on the ground. "C'mon Chlo! We all have done it! Now you have to." Mikey says patting her shoulder.
"And what happens if I do it?" Chloe asks looking up at me. Fear in her eyes. She is terrified of heights
"We go get ice cream!" I say smiling at her. "Umm....." "And we can go on any ride you want to." I say. She smiles and says, "I would've just gone with the ice cream. I just wanted to see how far you would go." She says.
"So...." I ask. "Uh! Fine! But If I hate it you are buying me double scooped." She says standing up.
I grab her hand and we start walking towards the 75 foot roller coaster.
----20 minutes later----
We finally get on the ride and I take out my phone when we start going up. Chloe's eyes are open and she looks at me. I kiss her forehead.
Without her knowing I take a picture.
"You suck." She says before we drop.
When we drop I grab her hand and fling it up. She starts screaming. I just laugh.
----end of flashback----
I hear The door open. I run to it and see Brooke walk through the door. "Anything?" I ask. "I haven't seen her but I did see her car at Bed bath and Beyond. So she didn't shut the world out." Brooke says.
I sigh. "Ok. Well I'm gonna wait a few days until I go talk to her." I say.
