Chapter 30

4th of July
I look at the clock, 4:20.
Josh will be here in 10 minutes.
I finish my braid and slip on my white converse.
"Josh is here!" My mom yells.
I grab my sunglasses and walk downstairs.
Josh Is standing in the doorway talking to my mom. When he sees me he stands up straight and smiles.
He has on a plaid button up flannel with jeans, along with black converse.
I smile and grab my shoulder bag.
"So you staying at Josh's tonight?" My mom asks.
"Yes!" I say. Technically it is Paige's because I sleep over with Paige. Josh is in his room.
I say goodbye to my mom and walk outside.
I close the door and give Josh a hug. We haven't seen each other in a week because he was in Connecticut.
"I missed you." I say into his shoulder.
"I missed you too." He replies.
I look up at him and give him a quick kiss on his lips.
He smiles then grabs my hand and leads me to his truck.
"So what are we really doing?" I ask. We have been driving for about half an hour.
"Well. Every year we have a family reunion with Mikey's family on fourth July. It is a big barbecue that we all have. Mikey's family is huge and mine is too. They rent an unpopulated field and there are things like a DJ, bouncy house, etc. courtesy of Mikey's family."
I laugh. "Great! I have only met your parents." I say knowing Josh knows that I hate talking to new people.
"You'll be fine Chloe. Just act like they are me. But don't be as cute." Josh says.
I smirk then reply with, "hahaha." ////end of chapter 30
This whole "scene" will be about a few chapters because it is giving some more information about things and shows how Chloe and Josh's relationship grows over time. :) so stay tuned. Sorry really short chap
